To celebrate their epic exhibition AI: More than Human, World Museum has an array of summer fun filled activities to keep adults and children busy – whether it is a film festival, writing competition, or attending the exhibition itself, this list of activities is just what we need to get creative after the year we’ve had!
COVID19 health and safety hygiene regulations are in place, including timed and limited entry slots, regular cleaning, social distancing space and sanitiser stations throughout.

With their partners at The Department of English, University of Liverpool, they are delighted to announce the launch of Flash from the Future. The creative writing competition is inspired by the blockbuster exhibition AI: More Than Human.
Have you ever wondered about the future? What our world will look like and how the technology of today will change the way we live? They’re asking you to explore those thoughts and share them in the form of short poems or flash-fiction stories. You can use one of the prompts they’ve suggested below or perhaps you have your own vision of the future you would like to explore.

Ai: More than Human – KIDS GO FREE!

The fascinating world of artificial intelligence comes to World Museum in an exhibition bursting with interactivity through immersive artworks and scientific developments, giving visitors a thrilling vision of the future. Until 5 September, kids go free when accompanied by a paying adult or member.
Come and explore the many facets of artificial intelligence and learn more about our relationship with technology and the natural world, medicine, art, society and even video games! A chance to meet Aibo the robotic dog, test your driving skills and even have a dance off with one of the installations.

Ai Family Film Festival
Running on various dates until October
Their Family Film Festival is celebrating the AI: More Than Human exhibition running from July – October 2021. Free tickets are available online. Screenings will take place in the Treasure House Theatre situated within the World Museum.The Iron Giant, WALL-E, Big Hero 6 and I, Robot will be shown on various dates.

Museums Playing Out: Exploring Rock Pools

Meet some of their live rock pool animals in this hands-on activity, including starfish, crabs and anemones. You can also add your drawing to our seaside chalk mural. Ages 3+

Get up close to their incredible collections for a “Look Don’t Touch!” exploration with experts. Book your family some one-on-one time to examine objects from their natural history collection and ask us your burning questions. Suitable for children aged 5+ accompanied by an adult.

The biggest, the smallest, the longest, the smelliest, the natural world is full of record-breaking wonders. Join us to explore our collections and meet some of our most intriguing creatures. Get up close to their incredible collections for a “Look Don’t Touch!” exploration with experts.
