The Grassroots Regeneration Conference is happening in Birkenhead on the 24th of September.
FLIPIM is about flipping the traditional big property-first regeneration gatherings on their head. Lets put people front and centre of the “place” plan. There is no need to fly to the south of France when you can take the train to Birkenhead.
After all, what is regeneration if not for the people who live and work in a place?
This year they have five themes, a smattering of keynote speakers, and some workshops. They’re Building a new Economy, talking about Culture and Hospitality-led Regeneration, examining what’s happening on our Highstreets, igniting a community-led Housing Revolution and, of course, asking how we restore Pride in Place right across the country.
The day is backed by Wirral’s Largest housing provider, Magenta Living, and community access has been enabled by the nations preeminent policy lab, University College London.
Spread across five nearby venues, including the brand spanking new Joy Building, the growing Future Yard, and of course Make CIC’s Hamilton 2.
This event is nothing without you in attendance. We need to be able to bring people together in places like this northern town of Birkenhead. It’s a place that echoes of the nation’s challenges and its latent opportinues.
Use the discount code FLIPIM5 to take the edge off. But if you, or someone you know, want to attend, but need more support, then please select the concession ticket sponsored by UCL.
