Salary: £5,500 plus UK Theatre daily rate for any meeting or auditions prior to rehearsals starting

The role:
They are looking for a collaborative and enthusiastic director to lead on their February production of Chris Bushs’ adaptation if Dr Faustus, Faustus – The Dammed Woman.
In this radical retelling of the Faustus myth, one woman makes the ultimate sacrifice – selling her soul in order to change the course of history. But can she now escape eternal damnation?
Brought to the stage in a co-production between Storyhouse and Fallen Angels Dance Company, this gripping Faustian drama explores what we must sacrifice to achieve greatness, and the legacy that we leave behind.
You will direct Faustus – The Dammed Woman driving quality, aspiration, accessibility and innovation in the design, casting, staging and presentation of the production. This will take place within a 4-week rehearsal and 4-day technical rehearsal period. Working alongside Fallen Angels Artistic Director, Paul Bayes Kitcher to embed movement into the production.
You will join their production team, working under the leadership of their Producer to deliver a world-class production on time, on budget to surprise, delight and inspire audiences in Chester and the wider community.
The production will be live streamed as a first step to make it fully accessible to all audience members. You will provide visionary leadership for the story, with a commitment to collaborative theatre making.
