Jazz North is looking for new trustees. They’re seeking to recruit three new trustees to join Jazz North’s board and help them shape the future of their organisation, as they navigate the new landscape for live music.
They understand the challenges we all face right now will have long term consequences for musicians, promoters and venues and so, as they plan for a return to live music, they want to make sure that they are best placed to deliver their work to support the sector in this changing cultural landscape, and they need the right trustees to help lead the way.
They recognise that their Board needs to represent the diversity of the people and the communities they work with. For this reason, they are proactively seeking Black, South Asian and ethnically diverse people, women, and people with lived experience of Disability as these are currently underrepresented at Jazz North.
Their board is currently made up of six trustees with varied professional and personal experience from across the music and arts industries, third sector and marketing/communications. You do not need experience as a trustee to apply and lived experience is as valuable as education or work experience.
To ensure they have a range of experience, perspective, and skills within their Board, they are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with:
– Financial expertise (CCAB qualified or demonstrable equivalent experience).
– Experience in the jazz sector as either a musician, promoter or educator
– PR and Communications
The deadline for applications is Tuesday 5th May 2021.
