Urban Workbench is offering free places on their ‘Art and Design For Making’ 5 week course for anyone over 19 and in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance or ESA.
Over the 5 weekly online sessions, participants will explore techniques to be able to personalise and transform a timber bedside table and learn to design a useful object from timber waste.
As part of the course, you will receive the materials you need and keep the furniture and objects you personalise and create. Within the sessions, run by experienced designers and makers, they will offer support and guidance in relation to employability and the potential to generate an income through making.
