Reporting to the Duty Manager (Visitor Experience), as a Visitor Assistant you will work within the Visitor Experience Team and be the first point of contact for visitors, providing a welcoming, friendly, safe and enjoyable visit.
You will interact with a diverse range of audiences to get the most from their visit, helping them to engage with exhibitions, collections and activities whilst supporting their mission to create memorable experiences for everyone – challenging expectations.
They aim to deliver a high-quality, positive and rewarding museum experience that will encourage children, young people, and adults to gain the knowledge and skills they need to develop their educational attainment, cultural awareness, and life chances.
Being passionate about people, and excellent customer service, is essential. An ability to respond independently to queries and spot an opportunity to improve someone’s visit with well-timed guidance is also a must. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining high Health, Safety & Security standards.
