Job Description
They have an extremely high demand for lessons across the county, and aim to inspire pupils of all ages to develop a love of music making. These lessons form part of their progression strategy from Whole Class Instrumental Tuition, into 1-1 or group lessons and onto playing with one of their County Ensembles or music centre groups.
Key Information
- This is a self-employed role
- They offer a variety of lessons, including 1-1, group and whole class lessons
- Lessons can be between 20 minutes and an hour (small group lessons will be a maximum of 4 pupils in a half an hour slot)
- 1-1 and group lessons may take place in a school during the day, at one of our Music Centres in the evening or when attached to a County Ensemble at the weekend
- Whole class lessons will take place in a school during the school day
- The are 34 lessons delivered over the course of an academic year
- Teachers are paid between £25.20 and £28 per hour, depending on the lesson type
- You may teach at several schools in one day
Your day to day work will involve:
- Lesson delivery
- Planning and preparation of materials
- Travelling between schools
- Developing good relationships with your schools and other stakeholders
