Part of the Good Neighbours Network, Chandler’s Ford Good Neighbours is a voluntary organisation set up to help our local community with the kinds of essential tasks that a good neighbour might do for those in need.
This can include driving and escorting people, principally to medical appointments that they would otherwise struggle to attend. They help in excess of 300 clients in the Chandler’s Ford area.
Their coordinators work from home and match requests for help from clients with volunteer drivers. They currently work a one week (Mon-Fri) in six/seven rota but this is flexible and we will always look to work in a way that suits you. There is no need to sit at home the whole time. You can go out to do the shopping, drop off kids etc, and pick up phone messages on your return.
Basic computer skills are needed but full training will be given. A DBS check will be required.
To find out more, have a look at their website, www.chandlersfogoodrdneighbours.org, and then please contact them on 07914 757380 or send an email to cfgnchairman@gmail.com.
(whilst this role is working from home, knowledge of the local area is helpful and needs to be with in the area as the phone is a physical one that is passed between coordinators)
