We are a national charity with various branches in cities across the UK, aiming to brighten the childhoods of disadvantaged children in local areas by volunteer visits from their favourite characters (Disney Princesses, Superheroes etc.)
Our volunteers can be of any age upwards of 16 and can take on a number of different roles:
- Characters – Visit children in costume, as well-known children’s characters (e.g. princesses and superheroes). Provide support at events of a number of other charities, children’s hospitals and council organisations through storytime, interactions and activities.
- Magic Makers – Visit children out of costume and provide enrichment such as arts and crafts, games etc.
- Imagineers – Help behind the scenes by organising events, recruiting volunteers, running training sessions, helping sort costumes, running fundraisers etc.
All volunteers require a DBS check and will undergo 2 training sessions ran by us – Introduction Training and Safeguarding Training.
