At the Children’s Air Ambulance, we run a special fundraising club for Children and young people called #thecrew Do you want a flexible volunteering role? Then this could be just for you!
Blade is our mascot and was designed by one of our #TheCrew members. Blade’s diary is filling up fast so we are now looking for a number of volunteers who would be able to wear the costume at events when promoting the Children’s Air Ambulance across the country!
You don’t need any previous experience but just to be enthusiastic and enjoy attending events. The costume is quite heavy so you would need to be reasonably strong and able to stand for a length of time. The costume will fit up to an adult size 14/16. When attending events, you would never be alone, we would ensure you are accompanied by other staff or volunteers, and you would have regular breaks from the costume.
