The Life and Times of Miss Amy June Furlong and The Art of Living is a fascinating film, commissioned by Liverpool Irish Festival and the Irish Government’s Emigrant Support Programme.
The Art of Living was a SpaceHive pledge project and funded by Crowdfund Liverpool. Liverpool Irish Festival joins forces with Moira Kenny/The Sound Agents to bring you a remarkable film and story.
Miss Furlong was a second-generation Irish woman, who -at 17- became a life model at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (formerly known as the Liverpool Institute of Art), Royalacademy and the Slade School of Fine Art, meeting and working with notable artists including John Lennon, Lucien Freud and many more. June passed away in Dec 2020.
This is a tribute to her and part of a large project about her life. The film is voiced by Festival patron, actor and first generation Irish woman, Eithne Browne.
