If you’re aged 18-25 with an interest in creating theatre and performing, this group meet weekly on Thursdays from 7.30pm-9.30pm.
Sessions, guided by our team of professional artists, give you the opportunity to develop as a performer; exploring techniques and creative processes, that can contribute to a future career in the arts.

YEP Actors 18-25 will include the following:
• Performance skills and techniques.
• The process of theatre making.
• Preparing as an actor.
• Working collaboratively.
• Developing confidence, resilience and social skills.
• Increasing aspiration.
• Full-scale production in July 2024 on the Everyman’s main stage.
• Theatre masterclasses.
• Mentoring.
• Exploring creative opportunities.
• Going on trips and seeing theatre.
• Meeting other young people and networking to build your own community and connections.
• Engagement with the creative process of at least one professional production.

Who runs YEP Actors 18-25?
Our outstanding team of freelancers are professional theatre makers and experienced in making work with young people. A dedicated practitioner will run the YEP Actors 18-25 weekly sessions and you’ll work with a professional director on the main stage production in July. There’ll be masterclasses with visiting professionals working in the industry too. Our YEP Mentor will provide support throughout and can give guidance on submitting your application, setting personal goals and deciding your next steps at the end of your course. There’s also support from our Young People & Community Producer, as well as other creatives in our building.
What dates do I need to know?
The deadline for applications is Sun 21 Jan 2024 at 23.59pm.
YEP Actors 18-25 starts on Thu 22 Feb 2024 and ends on Thu 25 Jul 2024.
Please note that you must be able to attend all these important dates to apply:
• Thu 15 Feb 2024, 5-8:30pm – YEP induction
• Weekly sessions on Thursdays, 7.30-9.30pm from 22 Feb 2024
• 23 May-6 Jul 2024 – rehearsals for main stage production, Thursday evenings and Saturday day times.
• Week commencing 28 Jun 2024 – intensive rehearsal week.
• Week commencing 1 Jul 2024 – technical rehearsals and performances.

The deadline for applications is Sun 21 Jan 2024 at 23.59pm.
You’ll be invited to an informal workshop where we can meet everyone and find out about your skills and experience. For successful applicants these will take place week commencing 29 Jan 2024 and there will be a choice of times to meet. If you are unsuccessful we’ll still invite you to meet us, to chat about your application and next steps.
