Liverpool Philharmonic hosts hundreds of events and welcomes thousands of customers every year. They’re currently looking for a Facilities Assistant to help ensure that our venues remain an excellent environment for customers and staff.

You’ll assist in making sure that Liverpool Philharmonic sites run efficiently, helping to maintain security, and staff and visitor access. You’ll be responsible for providing general support across their buildings, carrying out maintenance, repairs and lock up services, and you’ll also ensure that their spaces are set up to meet different requirements.

Teaching Fellow in Costume Design – University of Salford, closes 12 Mar

University of Salford are looking to recruit a Part Time Teaching Fellow for their BA Costume Design programme.

They are seeking to appoint an experienced academic and practitioner to support the delivery of our excellent BA (Hons) Costume Design programme. The successful candidate will have experience of working with productions in theatre, public events, festivals, film or television.

The BA (Hons) Costume Design programme has significant links with media, theatre and events organisations in the North West, and their students have completed placements with BBC, ITV and well-known theatres across the region.

You will contribute your technical expertise to further enhance the reputation of the programme and its commitment to enabling students to become highly skilled within relevant craft areas of the subject.

Students on the programme will be encouraged to work in a wide variety of contexts as designers, makers, and wardrobe supervisors to ensure they have a well-rounded experience of the industry.

The successful candidate will have a good professional profile as well as teaching experience in Higher Education. You will design, deliver, and lead a range of modules, actively taking part in student recruitment activities and other administrative tasks appropriate to the role. You will also work with students across all levels and offer academic and pastoral support.

Senior Creative Lead – Manchester Art Gallery, closes 26 Feb

Manchester Art Gallery are seeking an inspiring Creative Lead to deliver this work.

You will co-lead the gallery (alongside the Operational Lead, and reporting to the Head of Libraries, Galleries and Culture) to deliver cultural and organisational change in the way collections are used and understood, with and for the people of Manchester.

Over the next 4 years they are delivering a comprehensive programme of refurbishment across their three sites alongside an ambitious programme of collection review, research and recontextualization – the ‘collection rethink’.

This work will transform their public programme, putting the city’s collection at the heart of everything they do. They want to unlock the rich potential of the collection to foster belonging and understanding, to unite cultures and communities through shared experience and common purpose.

Through this programme of work, they hope to create the conditions for new understandings, ideas and knowledge that can make a tangible difference to people’s lives.

Video Content Creator – The Lowry, closes 27 Feb

The Lowry have an exciting opportunity to join our Audiences, Sales and Marketing Department in a newly created role for the organisation.

The successful applicant will be integral in driving forward our creative and digital content strategy, working across all parts of the organisation to create short and long form content pieces for internal and external consumption.

The role requires a highly creative and driven individual who is able to work across multiple projects and with a range of stakeholders. The Video Content Creator will need to be a motivated self-starter, adept in story-telling and creating engaging content for use across multiple platforms. The role will need to work closely with the wider CRM & Digital team in developing the overall digital strategy, but will need to support other areas of the business on their targets and goals.

Senior Events and Partnerships Executive – The Lowry, closes 27 Feb

As a registered charity, The Lowry only receives 5.5% of its income from public funding and the role of the Fundraising and Development team is to generate donations and income from individuals, companies, events and trusts & foundations to support everything that The Lowry does.

They are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills and solid events experience to support the team. The Senior Events and Partnerships Executive will play a key role in supporting the delivery of The Lowry’s annual calendar of stewardship, recruitment and fundraising events, as well as the day to day stewardship and administration of The Lowry’s key corporate partnerships including processing ticket bookings, renewals, and coordinating requirements around venue visits.

An excellent communicator and genuine people person, with the ability to work independently and proactively you will be able to prioritise deadlines and multitask with a very high level of attention to detail.

The Lowry’s staff and volunteers are at the heart of our organisation, and this role will be vital to ensuring that we can secure and retain much-needed funds to be able to continue to grow all of our organisation’s programmes.

Please note this is a fixed term contract of two years.

Acting teacher – North West End Acting School, closes 27 Feb

As the school is expanding they are seeking to appoint an acting teacher to cover the adult group acting evening classes.

Evening classes run throughout the year. Each bookable course is 10 consecutive weeks long held once a week. Each 2-hour session is held at different venues in Chester at 19:30-21:30.

They would be looking for cover up to three evening classes a week and sporadic dates throughout the course.

START DATE: February 2023/April 2023. (Regular classes during Summer course with sporadic classes throughout current course)

Pay: £25 per hour (Adult classes are 2hrs long)
