As a Supervisor in Cass Art’s Liverpool Store you will be working as part of the wider store management team assisting in operational excellence and sales growth.

This role is also responsible for the day to day running of the shop floor (sometimes unsupervised), together with supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in direct line management responsibility for all Retail Sales Assistants and Key Holders.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Supervise the shop floor and till areas

Visitor Experience Assistant – Manchester Craft and Design Centre, closes 10 June

The team are looking for a committed, energetic, down-to-earth person who is passionate about the arts to join Manchester Craft & Design Centre’s team as a Visitor Experience Assistant.

The Visitor Experience Assistant will be a key member of our small team over the coming months. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, both in-person and online. This will mean welcoming visitors onsite, as well as managing our public-inbox.

Salary £9.50 per hour, 2 full days: Saturday & 1 weekday (14 hours per week)

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

  • Welcome visitors to the building, direct them to historical information and answer any questions
  • Keyholder with responsibility for securely opening and closing the building in a timely fashion
  • Maintaining a tidy building, emptying waste bins, distributing post etc.  Reporting any issues promptly to the Team
  • Maintain a high standard of visitor satisfaction, ensuring needs are met and helping to improve the visitor experience
  • Work effectively with our Team and Resident Makers to support them with their work e.g. helping with activities and workshops, and setting up for events.
  • Helping the public to complete visitor surveys and give feedback on their visit and feeding this back to the Management Team on a regular basis.
  • Manage the general enquiries inbox, maintaining studio enquiries and forwarding them to relevant team members
  • Attend relevant meetings and events as and when required

Liverpool City Council are looking for a part time Arts Development Officer to join the Arts, Heritage & Participation Team within Culture Liverpool.

The successful post holder will be required to maintain relationships with the local, national and international tourism/cultural organisations and relevant public/private sector bodies and be responsible for the development of cultural and creative based businesses in Liverpool and develop a thriving culture and tourism sector across the City as a whole.

Strong writing and report skills are required, this will include delivery of relevant reports to Council, including briefing notes, delegated authority reports, Cabinet reports, and you will have good presentation skills.

The successful post holder will be responsible for assisting with the administration, allocation, processing and payment of grant applications and will be required to give detailed advice on Arts and Cultural development to senior officers who lead on the development of corporate policies and procedures.

You will be a team player and be able to work under your own initiative with the ability to prioritise a busy workload with some out of hours work required, including attending  and support relevant council and cultural sector led meetings.

The role will be based in Cunard Building, Liverpool with some remote working.

This is a fixed term contract for 24 months from appointment to cover a job share post.

Workshop Facilitators – Lakeland Arts, closes 27 May

Lakeland Arts are actively looking for a diverse group of creative practitioners, engineers, scientists or mathematicians to run their ‘Something to Say’ workshops during the summer holidays (Tuesday 26 July – Saturday 3 September) at Windermere Jetty Museum site.

The invention of steam brought great possibilities and opportunities to Windermere and the world. Now they want to use their site to ‘Say Something’, give hope at a time when we need it, activate minds and get people involved in expressing their thoughts and ideas?

You and the role

You (individual or collective) like to use creativity to say something, and get people involved. It can be from the climate emergency to queer rights, from rights for disability to pollution.

You (individual or collective) will be leading on designing and delivering the workshops, but there will be an opportunity to work with the Creative Producers at Lakeland Arts to develop those ideas with confidence.

Workshop

  • Must run from 12-4pm each day
  • Tuesday to Saturday
  • Over one week in summer holidays (Tuesday, 26 July – Saturday, 3 September)
  • Any type of creativity discipline, with a strong STEAM (Science Tech Engineering Arts Maths) focus
  • Participation is key; people might work together to create and build something collaboratively or individually, family or group.
