Stage Manager, Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse, closes 30 Aug

We’re looking for an experienced Stage Manager for this year’s rock ‘n’ roll panto, Red Riding Hood directed by Suba Das.

RATE OF PAY: MSRL Grade 1 £572.28 per week plus relevant overtime (subsistence for those that qualify: £188.15 per week)

LOCATION: Rehearsals and performances will take place at the Everyman Theatre, Liverpool

DESCRIPTION: To Stage Manage the Everyman’s rock ‘n’ roll pantomime as part of a team of 3 (SM, DSM, ASM). This is an actor muso show with a busy backstage track. The show will include live music, automation (although this is not operated by the SM), and circus elements so we are looking for a Stage Manager with experience. As well as supporting the rehearsal room, the Stage Manager will be responsible for and will co-ordinate the sourcing of props during the rehearsal process alongside the ASM. The Stage Manager will run the tech and will co-ordinate backstage to ensure the performances run smoothly and safely.

Rehearsal hours are usually between 9am and 6pm Monday to Friday, but will occasionally include some evenings and Saturdays. The tech week schedule will include daytimes, evenings, and Saturday. Officer, Research – Arts Council England, closes 31 Aug

Contract: Permanent, working 35 hours per week (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way they work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility)

Salary: £27,668 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.

As an Officer of Research, you will support research programmes and develop an evidence base concerning the cultural sector and the impact of public investment. Director of Heritage (parental leave cover) – Port Sunlight Village Trust, closes 5 Sept

Port Sunlight Village Trust (PSVT) is seeking to recruit a dynamic and suitably experienced professional to join their Senior Leadership Team on a temporary basis.

They are looking to appoint a Director of Heritage to cover Parental Leave for up to 12 months. You will work with the CEO, other Directors, and Board of trustees to realise a new 5-year plan for the organisation and a longer-term masterplan for Port Sunlight.

About the post

As Director of Heritage, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Heritage Directorate, which is responsible for the care and protection of Port Sunlight’s heritage and collections and making their stories and legacies accessible and relevant to everyone through research and public programming.

As well as people management and overseeing the day-to-day operational management of the Directorate, you will also lead the following projects over the next 12 months:

  • Review of the 10-year Conservation Management Plan
  • Development and implementation of a new Monuments Strategy
  • Phase 1 National Lottery Heritage Fund bid for a new Museum concept and interpretive strategy for the site
  • Knowledge Transfer Partnership with the University of Manchester working with communities to explore William Lever’s colonialist business practices in our museum and public spaces.
  • Equity Diversity & Inclusion improvement plan
  • Research into a new model for community involvement
  • Development of a new Volunteer Strategy
  • Bid for World Heritage Site Inscription, pending the outcome of an application to the UK’s Tentative List (due January 2023).

The successful candidate will ideally be able to commence the role in October 2022 and the contract will run until October 2023.
