Communications Officer, Digital Programmes – Arts Council England (North West), closes 20 Jun ’25

This is a great opportunity to work across two dynamic teams within the New Technologies and Innovation department of Arts Council England.

This new role will sit within the Digital Accelerator Programme, a national programme, managed by the Arts Council but funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies, which supports organisations across the country to invest in their digital infrastructure with a programme of advice, support and financial support. The role will also provide comms support to the Digital Culture Network which works across the country with a team of technical experts who provide practical, on-the-ground help to the creative and culture sector. Their focus is around digital skills, data literacy and leadership development

Role Details: You will be responsible for delivery of communication activity related to the Digital Accelerator Programme and the Digital Cultural Network.

In a typical week, you will:

  • Attend weekly team meetings for both Digital Accelerator Programme and Digital Culture Network to ensure a good all-round understanding of the programmes.
  • Develop case studies and good news stories for distribution on the Digital Accelerator Programme website and newsletter, in the media and to share with Bloomberg Philanthropies.
  • Respond to opportunities to share the learning from the Digital Accelerator Programme projects being supported, and from the associated online Learning Programme.
  • Manage and deliver the Digital Culture Network social media presence including content creation, posting, reviewing performance and maintaining the social media strategy.
  • Support on communications for Digital Culture Network special projects, which could include events, webinars, press activity or the Digital Culture Awards.

Advocacy & Campaigns Manager – Alder Hey Children’s Charity, closes 24 Jun ’25

The Advocacy and Campaigns Manager will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering Put Children First, the advocacy and campaigning initiative of Alder Hey Children’s Charity.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong public affairs expertise, policy understanding, and excellent communication skills. The campaign is child led and will involve working with children to raise their voice.

The post holder will also work with politicians, policymakers, clinicians and internal stakeholders, partner organisations, and the public to advocate for change, ensuring that Alder Hey Children’s Charity is a leading voice in children’s health policy and advocacy. This role is one of the first with a charity aligned to an NHS Trust and will appeal to someone with a strong desire to pioneer advocacy and campaigning in a unique setting.

Lecturer in Music (Voice) – The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, closes 13 Jun ’25

LIPA are seeking to appoint an experienced vocalist and educator to join their School of Music as a Lecturer in Music (Voice).

The post holder will directly report to Head of Music (Performance) and will teach music and related subjects to students enrolled on a range of courses as assigned by the Head of Discipline, depending on knowledge and experience, manage modules or parts of courses as required and assess students by the formal or informal methods required by external examining bodies and internal procedures. In addition, you will contribute to curriculum innovation, development and implementation, assist in the implementation of pastoral and welfare systems provided for students and continue personal and professional development in the areas of both subject knowledge and teaching methods.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent qualification, and a track record of performance and teaching voice at HE level. You will be student focussed, building a supportive and creative environment for students to develop their skills in a practice-based learning environment, with a strong commitment to preparing students for sustained employment.

Interpretation and Digital Officer – Chester Zoo, closes 1 Jun ’25

Interpretation and Digital Officer – 35 hours per week, temporary contract until September 2028

The Role

Chester Zoo now have an exciting new role for an Interpretation and Digital Officer. This role is part of the Networks for Nature project team.

Networks for Nature spans c60 square miles from the River Dee to the River Mersey, including Chester and Ellesmere Port. This is a collaborative partnership project working with Cheshire West and Chester Council, The Land Trust, Cheshire Wildlife Trust, Canal and River Trust, and Sustrans with the aim to drive nature recovery in a mixed-use landscape, creating diverse habitats for species to thrive now and for years to come. They will empower communities to have an active role in conservation action and stewardship and will focus on making nature more accessible to and inclusive for everyone to enable connection and improve wellbeing. As an Interpretation and Digital Officer, you’ll work closely and collaboratively with a wide range of in-zoo teams including the Networks for Nature project staff, Interpretation, Digital Learning, Marketing, PR, Fundraising, and will also link with the project partners. You’ll be responsible for the development of interpretation and promotional materials for the project. This will include interpretation materials at partner and community sites, resources for event activities and promotion of the project via e-newsletters, social media and other digital channels, such as the Wild Wander app.
