The Front of House Ticketing Assistant is responsible for managing the ticket collection process at the two music venues within the festival. This role is crucial for ensuring a smooth entry process for attendees and providing excellent customer service.

Business Planner – The Portico Library, closes 21 Jun ’24

The Portico is looking for an experienced and dynamic business development consultancy to create a financially sustainable Business Plan to guide and shape the Library’s future operations as part of its Reunited project with the Heritage Fund.

Job Description

The Reunited project represents an exciting and pivotal time in the Portico Library’s evolution and they are looking for an experienced and energetic business development consultancy to help deliver this future.

A key part of Project Team, this work will help shape the design of a newly accessible Portico by developing a financially sustainable Business Plan that informs the scale and type of commercial activity to be delivered. It will also help to maximise income generation and streamline expenditure to create a sustainable business model to guide the Library’s future operations.

Graphic Designer – The Lowry, closes 6 Jun ’24

The Lowry is a visual and performing arts venue situated at the heart of MediaCityUK in Salford, one of the world’s most exciting culture and media destinations.

This role sits within the Audiences, Sales and Marketing department which brings together Ticketing, Communications, Marketing, CRM and Digital as a centralised team working across the whole organisation; united by a shared accountability and responsibility for audience and revenue targets.

They are looking for a Graphic Designer to produce high quality, creative graphic design work for use in The Lowry’s printed and digital materials and other promotional resources. As part of the role you will provide design and artworks for departments throughout the organisation including galleries, learning and engagement, corporate, development and hospitality.

You will have creative flair, attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills. You will possess strong knowledge of print and design strategies for organisations in the arts sector and an understanding of modern trends in graphic design.

Technical Manager – Theatre by the Lake, closes 17 Jun ’24

Theatre by the Lake is looking to appoint an experienced Technical Manager to provide operational management of the Technical Department in support of all produced, co-produced, visiting work and events across Theatre by the Lake’s spaces.

Job Description

Key Objective:

To provide operational management of the technical department and to support the Head of Production in the planning, delivery, and management of all technical aspects of Theatre by the Lake’s performances, festivals, events

Main Duties

Operational

  • To manage the day-to-day technical operations of TBTL, ensuring effective systems are put in place to ensure all events run smoothly and meet all regulatory requirements.
  • To be the Technical Manager on all produced/co-produced productions, and attend and contribute to production meetings as needed.
  • Working ‘hands on’ on get-ins and get-outs, production weeks and performances as required.
  • To maintain a high standard of Health & Safety in the Technical Department, ensuring that RAMS are written and enforced for produced/co-produced work and that good housekeeping practice is observed in all technical areas.
  • Plan and manage the technical and stage maintenance at Theatre by the Lake and stores.
  • To schedule and monitor statutory testing and servicing of eqt/facilities to ensure that the building remains compliant and safe, and that the assets of the organisation are protected.
  • To be responsible for the scheduling of all permanent and freelance technical staff to ensure that the requirements of productions, visiting companies and other activities are met, within budget.
  • To manage TBTL’s digital/streaming performance infrastructure.
  • To ensure that there is good quality liaison with Visiting Companies, agreeing Tech Specs and schedules and ensuring recharges are maximised and advised to Finance in full and promptly upon completion of a production, in good time for the settlement to be raised.
  • Undertake Duty Management/Technician responsibilities as required.
  • Efficient communication with, and delivery of the production requirements for Events & Conferencing.
  • Supervise the rigging, focusing, plotting and operation of all lighting, sound, video and flying/rigging equipment.
