About Full of Noises

Full of Noises is a sound art and new music organisation based in a public park on Cumbria’s Furness Peninsula. Over the last 15 years, we have produced and commissioned new work from over 250 contemporary musicians, composers and sound artists through a programme of festivals, residencies, performances and public realm installations. This is an exciting time to join the team as we refocus our work towards producing an ongoing events series in our newly-built public performance space in Barrow Park. About the Role

The Assistant Producer will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the public programme and related events, contributing towards evaluation and reporting and overseeing maintenance of the venue and office premises. The Assistant Producer will also work as part of a team responsible for the capture and processing of data and monitoring related to participants’ engagement in activities.

Learning Assistant – Liverpool Biennial, closes 17 Mar

This role will support and work across all elements of our Learning programmes from research stage through to completion, with particular focus on our 13th festival edition. It will support the organisation and delivery of community-led projects with artists and our free, year-round programme of resources, events and opportunities for families, communities, schools, universities, and peers.

  • SALARY £23,400
  • CONTRACT Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Fixed Term until 31 October 2025

MAIN DUTIES:

Learning: 

  • Support the Curator of Learning in the administration and operational delivery of Liverpool Biennial’s learning programme. 
  • Act as a key point of contact and liaison for participants in all learning related events or projects. 
  • Assist in preparation and delivery of workshops and LB events, including family events and school projects, as well as LB public programme and live works where required. 
  • Prepare, distribute and maintain learning materials, resources and educational tools, ensuring that partners, sponsors/funders are appropriately credited on all communications. 
  • Deliver occasional creative workshops, tours or events at LB venues. 
  • Research, support new relationships and maintain existing relations between the Biennial and Liverpool City Region community groups / individuals.

Administration: 

  • Arrange accommodation, travel, per diems and visas for visiting artists, participants, or facilitators. Prepare welcome packs and schedules, and host artists when in the city. 
  • Day to day administration of learning programme including the creation and management of project planning and tracking documents. 
  • Research and book venues for offsite meetings, workshops, events and exhibitions. 
  • Support Curator of Learning to develop workshop plans and schedules, purchasing materials and organising refreshments for events in advance. 
  • Support Curator of Learning and Production Manager on fabrication of new commissions by researching and purchasing materials or equipment as required. 
  • Maintain contact lists using Liverpool Biennial’s CRM system, ensuring GDPR compliance. 
  • Process participant forms, ensuring that all contact information, necessary permissions, contact information and feedback is captured, collated and stored in accordance with Biennial procedures and GDPR requirements. 
  • Arrange meetings, preparing and circulating all papers, agendas and minutes as appropriate. 
  • Prepare and process POs, invoices and credit card expenses, and liaise with finance team as appropriate on matters relating to petty cash, expenses and purchasing. 
  • Monitor Learning phone for communications and work alongside Curator of Learning to draft responses as and when needed. 
  • Support the administration of project budgets using Microsoft Excel, ensuring all spends are logged in an accurate and timely fashion and provide regular budget reports for the Curator of Learning. 
  • Work closely with the marketing team to supply research, information, images and texts to ensure that educational work is up to date, documented and visible in the media, on the website and via social media. 

Miscellaneous: 

  • Attend training and professional development opportunities as required. 
  • Liaise with the HR team to ensure that DBS certificates are obtained where needed for all project participants and artists. 
  • Work within the context of Liverpool Biennial’s Safeguarding policy, Equality and Diversity policy, Code of Conduct, Sustainability policy and other policies in delivery of internal and external service and treatment of employees alongside all other Company policies and the Staff Handbook.

Executive Assistant – Liverpool Biennial, closes 3 Mar

The Executive Assistant will be a key staff member at Liverpool Biennial, supporting the Director and the organisation more widely with administrative, logistical, planning and governance tasks.

MAIN DUTIES:

Diary Management

  • Manage the Director’s diary and complex work schedule
  • Schedule the Director’s workload, including meetings and events, to ensure that all deadlines are kept up to date, communicated and met
  • Brief the Director regularly on all appointments, events, diary requests and invitations received, making strategic links between meetings, pre-advising on connections to be made, briefing and preparing any relevant materials in advance

Executive Support

  • Deal with the Director’s incoming emails and post, often drafting correspondence for, or corresponding on behalf of the Director

Assistant Curator – Liverpool Biennial, closes 10 Mar

The Assistant Curator is a key staff member at Liverpool Biennial, supporting the Programme Team in all aspects of the research, preparation, delivery, production, installation, maintenance and de-installation of the Biennial exhibition and year-round programme of talks, events, publishing and research.

MAIN DUTIES:

Curatorial / Exhibitions Organisation  

  • Support the Programme Team in all aspects of the research, preparation, delivery, production, installation, maintenance and de-installation of the Biennial exhibition and year-round programme of talks, events, publishing and research.  
  • In particular, oversee the delivery of in-person and digital public programmes, working closely with the Curator and Programme Manager to devise and deliver a diverse range of talks, workshops, screenings and events for key audiences across multiple venues. 
  • Oversee the delivery of select festival commissions, projects and loans, including live and digital works.  
  • Assist the Programme Manager and Curator to ensure that select festival commissions and all aspects of the Public Programme are integrated and delivered on time and within budget.

Administration

Wild Writing Workshop Assistant – Theatre in the Rough, closes 7 Feb

Theatre in the Rough are seeking two Workshop Assistants to help them deliver the WILDWRIGHTS project.

Overview

Theatre in the Rough is excited to announce the launch of WILDWRIGHTS: a programme of creative writing events set to take place at Sudley Walled Garden in Aigburth.

We’re inviting local young people and families to join us in discovering the wonders of nature, drawing inspiration from the garden’s rich diversity to nurture poetic expression and enhance social and emotional wellbeing. We want to spark creative adventures for curious minds by facilitating a meaningful connection with the wild world.

Seasonal Creative Writing Events: The programme will host four events throughout the year, allowing participants to engage with the changing seasons in Sudley Walled Garden.

Expedition Guides: Participants will be equipped with a specially curated ‘Expedition Guide’ containing cross-species creative prompts. Serving as a roadmap for their self-led journey through the garden, this guide will encourage a deep, sensory exploration of their surroundings.

Cross-Species Writing: Participants will choose a specific entity within the garden, collaborating with it to craft an original piece of writing. This interactive process aims to instil a profound and intimate connection to the natural world, fostering creativity and a heightened appreciation for biodiversity.

Workshops will run 90 minutes, from 1pm-2.30pm.

Responsibilities

As a Workshop Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in facilitating these creative writing events. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming participants to the workshop in Sudley Walled Garden.
  • Distributing Expedition Guides and writing materials to participants.
  • Answering questions and help participants as they explore the garden.
  • Assisting participants in creating original pieces of creative writing.
  • Helping to invigilate the session to ensure it runs smoothly and safely.
  • Helping to collect feedback for evaluation purposes.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience of working with young people in creative workshop environments.
  • Great communication skills, and a knack for developing rapport with a wide range of community members and young people.
  • A creative background.
  • Experience or interest in the relationship between the arts and nature.
  • Understanding safeguarding.
  • Lives within reasonable proximity to the Liverpool City Region.
  • Preferably available for all four sessions, unless you have your own DBS (please tell us in the application).

Discovery Zone Team Member – The Beatles Story, closes 21 Feb

The Beatles Story, Albert Dock, is looking for a Team Member to join the Education Team in our Discovery Zone.

Duties Include:

Remaining professional at all times as a representative of The Beatles Story.

Facilitating learning sessions for schools and other educational groups participating in the educational provision at the Beatles Story on an ‘as and when’ required basis.

Helping to facilitate family activities in the Discovery Zone during the school holidays.

Assisting in the general day-to-day running of the Discovery Zone, opening and closing.

Contributing to the maintenance and security of the interactive equipment and discovery zone resources.

PQA Warrington are looking for an enthusiastic Vice Principal to join our team due to expansion. This VP would work as the Principal’s right hand person to ensure the delivery outstanding performing arts training in an environment that is friendly, safe and rewarding. This is a regular position, roughly 41 Saturdays throughout the year. We have 2 academy locations in which you would work, on an alternate week schedule: Both locations run 09:45 to 13:00. Pay rate starts from £50-60 per session (depending on experience).

This is not a teaching role. You will need a knowledge of Performing Arts, and a passion for working with children and young people aged 4 – 18 years old, to help with the running of our academy. Administrative background would be a plus but not essential.

We are recruiting for a Finance Officer who will be responsible for supporting the preparation of the management accounts, ownership of the sales order process and credit control, ownership of the cash book and supporting other tasks, as well as ad hoc duties across the Finance team.

As part of the Finance team, you will report to the Head of Finance, supporting with the smooth function of finance operations across the organisation. This is a role that requires knowledge of basic accounting principles and the ability to problem-solve. Reading Heroes Coordinator – The Reader, closes 18 Feb

We are looking for a highly organised coordinator with strong interpersonal skills to join our Reading Heroes team. This role is responsible for coordinating the Reading Heroes project, which promotes the benefits of 1-2-1 reading by matching Care Experienced children with trained volunteers.

The Reading Heroes Coordinator recruits these volunteers and offers regular, specific support from the setting up of a placement, through the 6-month reading journey, and as a reading placement ends. The Reading Heroes Coordinator is also responsible for the handling of referrals and contact between referral partners, regular contact with carers, and the promotion of Reading Heroes legacy events, to keep our participants engaged in Shared Reading. The project aims to develop child confidence, self-esteem, improved relationships with reading and reading for pleasure.
