Assistant Curator – Tate Liverpool, closes 5 Nov

Working closely with colleagues in the Exhibitions and Learning departments, you will contribute to the curatorial development and management of a wide range of exhibition and collection display projects.

You will be involved in all aspects of the exhibition making process, including research for future programme, loan administration and correspondence, liaising with artists, developing checklists and floor plans, and overseeing installation. You will be a collaborative and solution-driven individual with a broad knowledge of 20th century art and an understanding of related current debates.

Communications Manager – Ambassador Theatre Group, closes 5 Nov

They are excited to be recruiting a Communications Manager based at the Liverpool Empire Theatre. Within this role you’ll report to the Head of Marketing & Communications.

You’ll also work closely with the wider Marketing & Communications team, which includes the Marketing Manager, Sales and Development Manager and Marketing and Communications Assistant.

A key area of responsibility will be to raise the media profile and footprint of the venue and its shows, by creating campaign ideas, partnerships, content, stunts or ‘must-attend’ events that get widely noticed and talked about and that ultimately drive ticket sales.

You should have the natural ability to nurture and manage a strong network of relationships with the media, local organisations and influencers in order to create ‘earned reach’ alongside growing the reach and engagement of the venue’s social and editorial channels.

This is a critical role in driving the profile of Ambassador Theatre Group’s (ATG’s) venue and shows and is pivotal to our long-term growth strategy.

Event Sales Executive – Shakespeare North Playhouse, closes 20 Nov

The Events Sales Executive will drive the sales of the organisation’s event and venue hire, maximise and devise revenue opportunities and enhance the profit of the business.

They will be the face of the event’s business and will network externally to build relationships and develop the business. This role is on a 0.8 FTE, working 32 hours over 4 days. Due to the nature of this role, however, and to meet the demands of the building, the post holder will need to be flexible in their approach to work.

Payroll Administrator – Royal Exchange Theatre, closes 13 Nov

The Payroll Administrator will provide a vital role for the organisation and will have prime responsibility for managing the payroll function, including wages and salary payments for all employees, plus associated functions such as national insurance, tax and pension payments, and staff benefit schemes.

The Royal Exchange runs two payrolls: One is weekly and processes payments for actors and stage management, whilst the other is the monthly payroll which is for the staff who are paid on a combination of salary and timesheets.

There are also freelancers who come onto the payroll for the duration of their control. For the monthly payroll we use a Payroll Bureau, and the Payroll Administrator is responsible providing accurate and timely information to the Bureau, and for liaising with RET departments to receive and share information.

Technical Trainer (FTC) – Factory International, closes 20 Nov

Salary – £33-35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Technical Trainer has a primary focus on training delivery and a step change in the volume of employer led technical training, whilst maintaining quality and real-world student outcomes. Where Factory International takes on Creative Venue Technicians, they will continue to be supported by department heads, with the Technical Trainer offering end point assessment, rather than being deployed in this area.

The Technical Trainer will deliver inhouse technical training to new entrants. Covering a broad range of key skills, and co-ordinating master classes for key professions within the building (from freelance & touring professionals to key core staff).

They will supervise Factory Academy students working at a slower pace on part of a real fit up, enabling the students to be in the room, at an early stage of their training.

Whilst reporting into the Technical Manager for line management purposes, this role will also work closely with The Factory Academy.

Working within our Live Department you will programme and curate live music events, with a particular focus on working with booking agents to secure national and international touring artists. You will have a deep passion for new music and be immersed and well connected within it.

Sales & Development Manager – Ambassador Theatre Group, closes 27 Oct

The Palace Theatre was opened on 18th May 1891 as a grand theatre and hall of varieties. The theatre underwent a considerable expansion of its stage in the 1980s making it one of the largest in the UK and enabling it to host the very largest west end productions.

Working closely with the Theatre Director and in collaboration with colleagues across the venues and the wider ATG team nationally, you will seek out and secure opportunities to initiate and grow engagement with a wide range of businesses and partners from across Greater Manchester and beyond. Your work will deliver exciting events and high calibre experiences, and also support the work of our new Creative Learning department.

You will be a motivated self-starter as well as a team player, with experience of working in a sales/target-driven environment, and ideally an existing list of your own contacts to combine into the theatres’ networks.

This is a very much a sales targeted role in which new business development and sales will be an important requirement.

This highly strategic role will play an important part within the portfolio’s Leadership Team, supporting the General Manager at Formby with all aspects of community engagement and participation. You’ll play a fundamental part in supporting the Victoria Road and Lifeboat Road Projects.
