Free Office Supplies and Stationery Giveaway – Tate Liverpool

Tate Liverpool recently closed to the public for a major capital redevelopment, moving elements of its operation to RIBA North, Mann Island.

They are fully decanting the building and have amassed a wide range of excess office and stationery items which they would like to recycle by giving away to anyone who can make use of them.

Items include:

  • Lever arch files, various colours (spines will need new labels)
  • Ring binders
  • Box files
  • Punched pocket folders
  • Cut flush folders
  • Envelopes (various sizes)
  • Magazine files (a bit of cleaning to remove label residue required)
  • Magazine racks
  • Lateral hanging files
  • Labels (general and franking machine)
  • A3 Printer Paper (30 reams)
  • Miscellaneous peripheral office items (hole punch, paper clips).

If you would like any of the items, please contact Helen Watters at helen.watters@tate.org.uk or call 0151 702 7501.

Pickup would be Monday – Friday during office hours (10.00 – 18.00) and all items would need to be removed from the Gallery by Friday 24 November 2023.  NB: some limited weekend access could be arranged, if required.

Unique spaces wanted for arts projects – Culture Liverpool/Hide and Seek

As part of a season for next spring and summer, Culture Liverpool are looking for two things:

1) The Great Unknown – a chance for audiences to go inside places and spaces usually restricted to the public or just never explored!

Do you have an amazing ‘behind the scenes’ experience in a building or place which you use or operate? Backstage at a theatre, the extraordinary basement of a warehouse? They are planning to curate a list of amazing ‘must see’ spaces and open them to the public for one weekend only in mid-Summer.

2) Programmable spaces hidden in plain site – they are looking for great programmable spaces for either freestanding sculptural works or large scale paintings which are hidden away but fully accessible.

Places only just off the beaten track but which could create delight and surprise once you track them down.

There are three projects where art will be programmed into places across the city and they are looking for ideas and inspiration for where these might be!

If you have any ideas on either of these, then please contact Eliza.willis@liverpool.gov.uk
