St Helens town centre is set to come alive with the vibrant Carnival of Creativity – a celebration of the local arts scene, featuring a packed programme of performances, workshops, and family-friendly fun!
Organised by St Helens Borough Council as part of their Arts in Libraries initiative, the festival will transform the town into a hub of creativity, with activities spread across popular venues including The World of Glass Museum, St Helens Library, and St Mary’s Market.
Headline Acts & Activities:
- 🎤 Johnny Vegas: St Helens’ own comedy legend will take part in Desert Island Books at St Helens Library, discussing his favourite reads live on stage.
- 🎶 Marco Woolf: Enjoy the soulful sounds of this rising star musician and storyteller.
- ✍️ Paul Cookson: Experience poetry and performance from this celebrated national book hero.
- 🎥 Pop-Up Cinema: Screenings for all ages.
- 🎪 Family Cabaret & Kids' Activities: Engaging entertainment for little ones and families.
- 🎨 Makers Market: Explore artisan craft stalls and creative activities from local makers at St Mary’s Market, alongside the monthly pop-up market in Church Square.
Evening Finale:
End the day in style at St Helens Town Hall with an electrifying gig featuring:
- 🎵 Stealing Sheep: Electro-pop band who headlined the Eurovision Village stage in Liverpool.
- 🎸 TVAM: Alternative/indie act led by Joe Oxley, with special ties to St Helens Library Service.
