Pixels Ensemble: Folksongs and Fairytales

Ivor Novello-winning composer Martin Iddon’s limnades is given its first performance in a new instrumentation. Robert Schumann’s set of evocative Fairy Tales unleashes the narrative power of the viola, and in Luciano Berio’s Naturale viola and percussion combine to reflect and commentate on the composer’s recording of authentic Sicilian folk song.
