Wonder in the Street is back! This year we’re celebrating community as super power; presenting our annual event alongside St Helens Borough Council as they launch Refugee Week 2025. Performances will be BSL Interpreted as we celebrate community as a superpower and the importance of theatre being accessible to all. Join us on Saturday 14th June for a day of shows the whole family will capture the imagination of the whole family! LAS Theatre presents: Caspian’s Storm 11.00am (BSL Interpreted) & 1.30mpm Ages 3+ Caspian is a small but incredibly curious crab. One stormy night, a magical tide transforms him into a giant, talking crustation! But danger lurks when a group of humans plot to cook him for their dinner. With LAStheatre’s quirky humour and toe-tapping music, Caspian’s Storm is the perfect show for all the family Tit for Tat presents: Now I am Deaf 11.30am & 2.00pm Exploring their own hearing loss as a source of play and invention, a clown stumbles before its audience, and dances between the chattering heads and the singing hands of strangers. Tackling cultural boundaries and personal identity through moments of chaos, sincerity, interconnectivity, and utter nonsense Half a String presents: Space Chickens 12.00pm & 2.30pm (BSL Interpreted) Ages 5+ Earth's unlikely hero: an adventurous chicken who is blasted into space to solve all of ourplanet's problems. Sounds ridiculous? Not for our heroic hen who will boldly go where nopoultry has gone before...With stunning puppetry and original banjo synth music follow this rocket-fuelled tale all ontop of a van. Join us, for an intergalactic adventure from the hen house, to the milky way. Sojan Keiley presents: Bollywood Dance Workshop 12.30pm (BSL Interpreted) Learn fun and enjoyable Indian Dance moves and steps taken from Indian movies, bring your glitz and glamour, lets get your hips and shoulders shaking to the sounds of the latest music. Get ready to move your feet to the Bhangra Beat! Use colourful scarves to further enhance the dance. Accompanied by vibrant music and dynamic moves. This workshop brings the very best of Indian dance, music, colour and storytelling. It will leave you buzzing and feeling energised.
