Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio are back in Birkenhead!
They return to Future Yard on Wednesday 22nd October, for a night specialising in the lost art of “feel good music.” The ingredients of this intoxicating cocktail include a big helping of the 1960s organ jazz stylings of Jimmy Smith and Baby Face Willette; a pinch of the snappy soul strut of Booker T. & The M.G.’s and The Meters; and sprinkles Motown Records, Stax Records, blues and cosmic Jimi Hendrix-style guitar.
Since its humble beginnings in 2015, the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio have issued two Billboard-charting albums; toured nationally and internationally, and performed on live at Upstream Music Festival broadcast by KEXP that garnered over 14 million views.

M(haol) are back at Future Yard on Friday 19th September for their third appearance in Birkenhead. Based in Dublin, Belfast, and London, Irish intersectional feminist firebrands M(h)aol — Constance Keane (She/Her), Jamie Hyland (She/Her), and Sean Nolan (He/Him) — have built a reputation for thrilling live performances, fostering an atmosphere that encourages community and catharsis regardless of where they play.
They join us in September on the back of the release of their 2nd LP Something Soft (out in May) is set to be anything but. From the first note of its propulsive opening track to the distorted cries of its last, Something Soft feels antagonistic to the very concept of softness, sonically and thematically, taking an unapologetic approach to intersectional feminism, animal welfare, consumerism, and the struggle to find a place in a world lacking in empathy. What M(h)aol offers is catharsis, in two forms: the kind you get from being open with others, and the kind you get from righteously smashing some shit up.

We host Clann An Drumma at Future Yard on Thursday 17th July, a collective that have crafted a sound that seamlessly fuses ancient traditions with modern flair, featuring powerful battle drums and evocative Highland pipes that blend Celtic heritage with contemporary influences.
Originating from Glasgow, they perform adorned in uniquely designed tartan, worn as traditional plaids, with tribal energy infusing life into all occasions.

Stick in The Wheel perform in Birkenhead on Wednesday 8th October, bringing folk to Future Yard quite unlike how you’ve heard it before.
This radical East London duo are known for their intense live shows exploring the raw holler of folk, synths, spoken word and intricate rustic dobro guitar. Full-force reworkings of centuries-old work-songs speak to contemporary issues of class, using multi-layered sonic palettes to deeply reflect hidden histories, told with a razor-sharp authenticity. Stick In The Wheel have created their own London vernacular, a contemporary roots music that celebrates the collective stories and traditions of the city – conjuring the past to point toward the future.

Reforming last year, beatmakers are back with one hell of a live ensemble, with original members Ralph Lamb (trumpet/flugelhorn), Andrew Ross (tenor/baritone sax-flute), Micah Moody (drums), Patrick Dawes (percussion) with James Morton (Alto Sax), Oliver Parfitt (keyboards), Conor Cotterill (bass) & of course DJ Ollie Teeba on the turntables, coming to town this Autumn to showcase their most iconic and well- known material, from the 10 years recording with Ninja Tune (1995- 2005).

We are delighted to welcome Colombian dance music collective Systema Solar, a driving force in electropical music for over 19 years, to Birkenhead on Thursday 19th June with their upcoming album Futuro Primitivo.
They’ll bring their unique music-visual show, known as “Berbenautika” – where Colombian street party culture (pikós, verbenas) meets hip-hop, house, techno and more.
The Colombian collective, a true pioneer of the genre, is once again delivering an ultra-festive, extravagant and colourful live performance, complete with their signature handmade visuals that bring their electro-pical universe to life.
