Martin Stillwell will be making a rare live appearance, Downstairs at the Everyman, playing tracks from his debut solo EP, Bathed in Light.
The Bathed in Light EP is available through Liverpool’s Mellowtone Records. There’s also support on the night from Jez Wing, Beaten Tracks DJs, and more TBA.

The ever-popular Christmas collaboration of the choir with the Northop Silver Band, renewed once more after a few years’ break, promises to be a very special evening filling you full of festive spirit.
This iconic choral masterpiece, a favourite of many audiences, will be performed on this occasion with original instruments, highly-rated baroque solo specialists and an acclaimed Liverpool choir.
The work includes favourite movements such as the ‘Hallelujah’ Chorus, ‘The trumpet shall sound’ and ‘I know that my Redeemer liveth’, and recounts the story of Christ, from birth, beyond resurrection to revelation.
An afternoon concert of about an hour for families with children. A themed presentation of exciting orchestral music specially chosen to appeal to a young audience, presented in a relaxed atmosphere.

Marc Almond returns to Liverpool Philharmonic Hall to perform songs from his latest top 20 solo album, Chaos and a Dancing Star, plus his biggest hits and favourites from his extensive catalogue.
Chaos and a Dancing Star was released to critical acclaim just before the pandemic and lockdown. Marc was able to perform a one off concert in February 2020 at the Festival Hall with co-writer/producer Chris Braide, joined by special guest, Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull.
Not only will this tour be the first outing of his recent solo album, Soft Cell have also released a UK chart top 10 album Happiness Not Included, including the celebrated No.1 single ‘Purple Zone’, featuring the Pet Shop Boys.
Spanning over four decades, Marc Almond’s lauded career has seen him receive an Ivor Novello Inspiration Award in 2013, a Brit Award, as well as an OBE in the 2018 New Year Honours for his services to arts and culture. Folk legend Martin Carthy, dubbed the ‘Godfather of English Folk’, comes to the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall’s Music Room this September.
Support on the night is from accomplished musician and songwriter Danny Bradley, winner of the Liverpool Acoustic Songwriting Challenge Judges’ Award for 2021.
For more than 50 years, Martin Carthy has been one of folk music’s greatest and best loved innovators. His skill, stage presence and natural charm have won him many admirers, not only from within the folk scene, but also far beyond it.
Trailblazing musical partnerships with, amongst others, Steeleye Span, Dave Swarbrick and his award-winning wife (Norma Waterson) and daughter Eliza Carthy have resulted in more than 40 albums, but Martin has only recorded 10 solo albums. Whether in the folk clubs, on the concert stage or making TV appearances – there are few roles that Martin Carthy hasn’t played.

Future Yard will bring the Ethiopian keyboardist, master accordionist and veteran bandleader to the Wirral on Tuesday 6th September as part of their FUJAZZI series; a regular set of shows exploring the outer edges of jazz.
Hailu Mergia rose to prominence in Ethiopia in the 1970s, leading the Walias Band in their exploration of hard funk, traditional music and jazz in Ethiopia’s capital.

The Scaffs first came together as part of the Merseyside Arts Festival in October 1962. So this is the perfect opportunity to celebrate their anniversary with them. And what’s more they made their debut right here on Hope Street, at a venue that would soon after be renamed as the Everyman.
They went on to present their distinctive mix of comedy and poetry to packed theatres both around the UK and across the world, they became staples on peak-time TV and they produced a string of unforgettable hit records including Thank U Very Much, Lily the Pink and Liverpool Lou.
Now they’re back in person, live on stage* to share a host of amazing and hilarious stories, sketches, poems, photographs and songs all celebrating the story of The Scaffold.

Currently working on his fourth album; a double, potentially triple album… Granfalloon continues the work of his third album, Positive Songs, to focus more on traditional songwriting, and not quite traditional storytelling, to chisel out small, beautiful moments.
It showcases this non-traditional storytelling with subject matter like… the meta-narrative approach to the dangers to you and the relationships around you that writing can have, expressing love through mathematical formulae, and 8 year old girls catching bees in Tupperware boxes, all with a heavy dose of Richard Lomax’s absurdism.
Dan Wilson is a singer/songwriter and musician with The Cubical/Los Separatistas and a solo artist with Dan Wilson & The Counterfactuals. He is known for his unique lyrical and vocal style and is also a writer of poetry and short stories. This is music that creaked of old wooden bars and dark corners. Music aged in barrels and smelling of a days work well done. Blues soaked Folk and Rock with Jazz undertones to whet the appetite.
