The Royal Liver Building is based on the Pier Head, Liverpool Waterfront, L3 1HU. The main entrance to Royal Liver Building Reception is located in the courtyard of the building, just off Canada Boulevard or is accessible via The Strand. The building is wheelchair accessible.
This Christmas Market aims to maximise the central Liverpool Pier Head location and enhance visitor engagement.
It encourages visitors to enter inside this iconic building to appreciate the architecture & history and meet 30+ local, small business owners to commemorate their visit.

Join Liverpool Makers’ Bazaar at the Old Police Station on Lark Lane on Sunday 12 November when they will be hosting a carefully curated collection of talented artists, displaying a plethora of crafting skills.
Old favourites nestle amongst emerging talent in 3 rooms of exciting opportunity to treat yourself or gift thoughtfully by buying from small local businesses.

The Art Quarter Winter Market
After the huge success of its previous Christmas and Summer Markets, The Art Quarter Liverpool Market is back for Winter 2023 at Metquarter, supporting small businesses and local makers this Christmas.
Taking place on Saturday 2 December which is also ‘Small Business Saturday’ from 11am-5pm, over fifty talented artists, designers and makers will pack out the centre offering incredible locally made gifts and products including jewellery, ceramics, glassware, illustration, candles and much more.
The Art Quarter Winter Market will host stalls from original makers, artisans, and crafters including Lazykate Textiles, who will be located on the ground floor of the centre and will give customers the chance to try weaving on their big spinning wheel. The team will also sell a large selection of naturally hand dyed yarn and looms.
Customers looking to pick up the perfect Christmas gift will be spoilt for choice. One of the wonderful local traders, The Felt Factory will sell handstitched 100% wool felt, goodies, gifts and garlands whilst the talented Rach at Bird House Press will offer a selection of products featuring unique, colourful and fun hand-drawn illustrations.
Other confirmed stallholders include ceramics designer, Eniko Kovacs, who will sell a selection of handmade ceramics for the home including mugs, bowls and vases – the perfect gift for yourself or any interior lovers! Pebble Art Studio UK will have a range of beautiful, one-of-a-kind framed pictures made from pebbles, driftwood, sea glass, dried leaves and flowers.
Looking for a unique gift for a Marvel or Superheros fan? Comic Genius will host a stall selling unique handmade picture frames and clocks using US and UK superhero comics. It doesn’t stop there as there will be over fifty stalls to explore on the day, helping Christmas shoppers tick items off their present lists while supporting local businesses.
Completely free to attend, The Art Quarter Winter Markets will offer a full day of entertainment with live music and fun filled hands-on children’s workshops taking place throughout the day.
Metquarter’s official charity partner The Hope Foundation will also run a stall, offering a gift-wrapping service and helping shoppers to put the finishing touches to their purchases. There will be an option for shoppers to donate to the charity in return for the service. The team will also sell a bespoke Hope Foundation Travel Mug on the day, designed by Art Quarter’s Karen Edwards. All funds raised for the charity on the day will be matched by Aviva.
Metquarter’s mix of local label, creative arts and high fashion retailers will remain open throughout the event, turning the centre into a true one-stop-shop for Christmas shopping and entertainment. The GPO will serve a range of festive food and drink options as well as hosting a special Let It Go children’s event in collaboration with Mini Madams Spa, while Everyman Cinema’s schedule includes a selection of unmissable Christmas films in a luxurious setting.

GoodMarket XL
A brand new shopping event is coming to the Exhibition Centre Liverpool this month (28 October) as GoodMarket XL invites visitors to discover more than 130 independents during a giant celebration of artisan makers.
Combining shopping with entertainment, GoodMarket XL, will see visitors enjoy food and drinks from artisan producers whilst exploring art, prints, homeware, local craft drinks, clothing, accessories and gifts from a carefully curated collection of independent pop-ups. There will also be live music and DJ sets from Good Market resident DJs Coffee and Turntables.
The event, supported by Hugh Baird College, is free to attend and will be jam-packed with artisan makers and businesses including Wexbaby, Skyn Bakery, The Octopus Garden, JG Illustrations, Bean Coffee and Turncoat Gin, as well social traders from BlaST.
Independents such as Pawdrobe HQ, Neon Moon Pet Boutique and Frenchie Fancies will also be showcasing their latest treats and accessories for pampered pooches, while The Storybarn will be keeping children entertained with reading and craft sessions throughout the day.
Those looking to unleash their own creativity can take part in one of the interactive workshops on offer such as seasonal scents candle making with Kip Candle Co, bouquet making with A Slower Space and limoncello and cocktail masterclasses with Zest.
Organisers of GoodMarket XL, Alex and Rebekah Frech, who also run the city’s regular Good Market events, are looking forward to expanding their much-loved pop-up shopping experience into a full-day event at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool.
