GoodMarket XL

A brand new shopping event is coming to the Exhibition Centre Liverpool this month (28 October) as GoodMarket XL invites visitors to discover more than 130 independents during a giant celebration of artisan makers.

Combining shopping with entertainment, GoodMarket XL, will see visitors enjoy food and drinks from artisan producers whilst exploring art, prints, homeware, local craft drinks, clothing, accessories and gifts from a carefully curated collection of independent pop-ups. There will also be live music and DJ sets from Good Market resident DJs Coffee and Turntables.

The event, supported by Hugh Baird College, is free to attend and will be jam-packed with artisan makers and businesses including Wexbaby, Skyn Bakery, The Octopus Garden, JG Illustrations, Bean Coffee and Turncoat Gin, as well social traders from BlaST.

Independents such as Pawdrobe HQ, Neon Moon Pet Boutique and Frenchie Fancies will also be showcasing their latest treats and accessories for pampered pooches, while The Storybarn will be keeping children entertained with reading and craft sessions throughout the day.

Those looking to unleash their own creativity can take part in one of the interactive workshops on offer such as seasonal scents candle making with Kip Candle Co, bouquet making with A Slower Space and limoncello and cocktail masterclasses with Zest.

Organisers of GoodMarket XL, Alex and Rebekah Frech, who also run the city’s regular Good Market events, are looking forward to expanding their much-loved pop-up shopping experience into a full-day event at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool.

Made for Christmas

Made for Christmas at Welly Road Art Studios in Oxton when the residents studio artists/makers and invited guest open their doors to the public to talk about, show and sell their creations.

There will be other studios open in Oxton on the same weekend. Worth planning a trip to the area. Cash and cards accepted. Sold pieces can be taken with you and commissions can placed.

There will be seasonal refreshments and donations will be welcomed.

NB: This is a working studio and there are some issues for accessibility, we will endeavour to help where possible. The entrances to each of the studios has a threshold for a UPVC door and there is a step from one studio unit to another. They do not have an accessible toilet (IE: not able to accommodate a wheelchair but they do have a newly fitted grab handle).

Please let them know if you have concerns and they aim to make arrangements to assist. There is some parking in the courtyard and on street parking nearby (Sunday unlimited, Saturday limited slightly in immediate vicinity).

Liverpool Makers’ Bazaar

Liverpool Makers’ Bazaar – Liverpool’s longest established indoor market of all things handmade.

Since 2018 they have been curating the very best artists working in a plethora of mediums to produce unique and beautiful items to sell directly to the public

This month they are proud to say that they will have more than 30 small local businesses exhibiting and selling with us at the Old Police Station on Lark Lane ( L17 8UU)

With free entry and Mrs B’s excellent pop up Vintage Tea room  providing delicious cake and beverages, it would be rude not to join them.

The Capital Building is located at 39 Old Hall Street Liverpool L3 9PP. The main entrance to Reception is located in the front of the building on Old Hall St. The building is wheelchair accessible.

This collaboration aims to maximise the central Liverpool business location and enhance visitor & tenant engagement. It encourages tenants to visit reception to meet a local professional photographer with unique, authentic travel inspiring landscape & city view photo art prints & notecards to enhance their working day.

Picture This Photography are an international brand specialising in interior collections for business & home where they supply custom images for UK restaurants & offices and also are a supplier for The Beatles Story & Fab 4 Stores. RELICS Demo & Drop In Workshop

Create a unique pendant or ring featuring impressions of the Liverpool city/Albert Dock area. Explore taking impressions in soft wax, capturing personal memories of place. After this self-led workshop your pendant or ring will be cast in 100% recycled sterling silver.

As part of the Good Market XL at Liverpool’s exhibition centre on October 28th, Amy, founder of Dripped Goods will be demonstrating her signature technique of taking impressions in soft wax at her stand. The Demos will take place throughout the day, with the option to try it out for yourself and create a unique ring or pendant.

This workshop is led by founder of Dripped goods, Amy Flynn. Amy has a BA in Jewellery Design from London College of Fashion and has over 10 years experience in the jewellery field. She designed the medals for the World Gymnastic Championships in 2022, has showcased in the Bluecoat Display Centre and led multiple workshops at venues including TATE Liverpool.

Demo is free to watch a deposit of £15 secures a space to create your own jewellery item at a total cost of £95 in recycled sterling silver.

Everywoman Makers Market

Shop and support local women-owned small businesses at the Everywoman Makers Market.

After the success of their first markets in March & July, once again they’re bringing together a collection of unique stalls offering a variety of products from independent designers and creators. Their Street Café will be open and serving a selection of food, snacks, drinks and treats.

All ages and genders welcome, there’ll be something for everyone!

All women* makers interested in applying for a stall can do so here.

During the market they will have live music from local artists Muireann and Dawn and the Embers.
*anyone who is non-binary, gender non-conforming or identifies as a woman.

Make Autumn Market

This autumn, Make are excited to be running their first Autumn Makers Market on Sunday 29th October 2023.

Visitors to this autumn shopping event can expect an abundance of independent stall holders, tasty food, themed craft workshops and music and entertainment throughout the day.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

On street parking is free but limited to 2 hours so vehicle drivers will need a permit for street parking.

Public transport links are nearby, and the venue is easily accessible on foot from Liverpool City Centre (see our website for more information, we’re located at Make North Docks).

How accessible is the venue?

The market is located on the ground floor which provides full accessibility including toilet provisions.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, it isn’t necessary to print your ticket.

Yes that is fine!

Will there be food & drink available at the market?

There will be a variety of food options available including, vegan options. There will also alcohol available at our bar.

Can I bring my dog along?

Well behaved dogs allowed as long as they are on a lead. The owner must take full responsibility and pick up after your dog. Your furry pal must be supervised at all times and must not be deemed as dangerous.
