Haydock Street aka Street and a Half is a new area of regenerated stores in St Helen’s town centre. The launch street party is happening on 28th September, head along and see what’s in store.

While you’re there, pop in to ZERO Fashion’s work-in-progress store for a Swap Shop.

It’s time to refresh your wardrobe for winter and trade those clothes you no longer wear for new gems. Bring your gently used dresses, tops, skirts, and more, and leave with a whole new collection of stylish outfits. Whether you’re a fashionista or just looking for a fun day out, this in-person event is perfect for you. Don’t miss the chance to find some amazing pieces while enjoying the street party event!

Bring up to 5 items to swap for tokens, and then have a browse. All swappable items will be 1 token, unless they are high value items – which will be 2 tokens. If you have tokens left over once you have picked your items to swap, you can keep to shop at a later date.

If you have nothing to swap, or just want to have a browse, tokens will be purchasable on the day for £5 per token. Any items left at the end of the day will be donated to our clothes pantries or used to create for our permanent clothes swap rail!

Crafts and skill building activities will be available for you to have a dabble, always using deadstock fabrics, reusing and reducing. Workshop events coming soon to this venue.

Liverpool Art Fair 2024

Liverpool Art Fair is thrilled to celebrate its 10th anniversary this summer at the prestigious Royal Liver Building, promising a spectacular showcase of local talent and creativity.

The event, which will be exhibiting and selling an unprecedented 200+ artists’ work, will open to the public on Friday 28th June and run until Sunday 18th August. Opening times are Tuesday to Sunday, 12-6pm and entry is free. Art prices start at £20, with a substantial “under £200” section, and everything is priced under £2000, ensuring there is something for every budget!

Liverpool Art Fair is an annual event that aims to showcase a wide range of affordable original art from a plethora of local artists. It provides a unique insight into the region’s creative talent and offers everyone, from seasoned collectors to first-time art buyers, the opportunity to own a piece of Liverpool’s art world.

Artists were selected from an open call, with anyone based within a 35-mile radius of Liverpool eligible to apply. A selection panel made up of; Sarah Lovell, Lead Officer for Culture at Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, Faith Bebbington, sculptor, Patrick Kirk-Smith, editor and director of ArtinLiverpool, and Angela Samata, arts professional and broadcaster, had the unenviable task of whittling down nearly 400 applicants.

During the seven weeks of the fair, a packed events programme will take place including creative workshops with partners Cass Art and a programme of events designed to support artists and creatives in starting and growing their businesses, in partnership with the BIPC (Business and Intellectual Property Centre).

The Liverpool Art Fair People’s Choice Award is also returning, allowing visitors to vote for their favourite artist until early August. The lucky winner, announced on 8th August, will receive a host of prizes, including vouchers from Cass Art, a stay at INNSiDE Liverpool with dinner at Gino’s, tickets to the RLB360 experience and an Artist Showcase with our Media Partner The Guide Liverpool.

The event’s major partner for 2024 is Liverpool Hope University who have been integral to the staging of this year’s fair. Liverpool BID Company have kindly supported though their Arts and Culture Fund, and the event is also sponsored by CBRE and Evelyn Partners; the team extend heartfelt gratitude for their support. Thanks also to Relish for their sponsorship of the opening event.
