The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra performs Pop Goes Classical, uplifting orchestral versions of the world’s most iconic pop songs.
Pop Goes Classical shows that a great melody transcends time and genre. Join us for an uplifting and unforgettable musical experience where the world’s best loved songs are reimagined by the iconic Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, orchestrated by the producers of the hit Classic FM album, Pop Goes Classical.
Set in the beauty and splendour of Liverpool Cathedral but with the intimacy of candlelight, this world-famous orchestra will take you from the heartfelt ballads of Ed Sheeran and John Legend to the anthemic sounds of Coldplay, U2, and Oasis, transforming well-loved songs such as Hallelujah, Fix You and Fields of Gold into sweeping symphonic masterpieces – as heard on Classic FM.
Whether you’re a lifelong pop fan, a classical music enthusiast, or somewhere in between, this celebration of uplifting and emotional music is not to be missed.
If you would like to commission the orchestration of a specific song on the night to celebrate a special occasion, please contact the organisers here: admin@morganpochin.com

Rooted in the mud, hills and folklore of the North, Smote is the atmospheric, heavy-leaning project of landscape gardener Daniel Foggin. Drawing on drone, psych, folk tradition and the raw power of electronics, the music feels both ancient and sharply present.
We are excited to welcome Smote on their spring tour, off the back of their latest album release, Songs From The Free House on Rocket Recordings.
Smote’s live shows have built a quiet but loyal reputation for their slow-building intensity: ritualistic, hypnotic and deeply grounded. Expect repetition that pulls you under, waves of amplification, and atmospheric intensity.

Mad Professor comes to Birkenhead!
A disciple of Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry’, Mad Professor stands as one of the leading producers in dub reggae’s second generation.
One of the most respected figures in the genre’s transition into the digital age, Mad Professor soon found himself in demand as a remixer for rock, R&B, and electronica acts. Over the course of the ’90s and into the new millennium, he would remix tracks by Sade, The Orb, The KLF, The Beastie Boys, and Depeche Mode, among others. His best-known project, however — and the one that truly established his credentials — was 1995’s No Protection, a completely reimagined version of trip-hop collective Massive Attack’s second album, Protection.
Support comes from The Oliphant Man B2B Sista Irie.
