Help astronaut Claire Henry and musicians from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra to power the rocket and blast off into space! We’ve lined up a concert full of exciting space music and our audience will be very busy helping to make the launch a success.

Whether it’s the bottom of the garden, or the woods round the corner, there’s always something to discover when you step into nature, and today our Orchestra brings the outdoors inside with a spectacular showcase of works inspired by the countryside. Patrick Dineen performs live a selection of songs from his latest album We Never Close. Combining his love of Weimar Era cabaret, klezmer, blues, early jazz, film noir and contemporary soundtrack, he brings his own signature music style to his songs combining sophisticated arrangements with with his own strong melodies. His songs range from the darkly comic and political such as ‘It’s Society that’s Sick Not Me” and ‘Less Is More’ to songs of pathos, passion, and loss of identity in songs such as “The Honey Jar” and “Busy Being Someone Else”
Adopting the role of commentator and m.c. Patrick invites you to experience each song as a story with live performance, unique theatrical lighting, film and special guests. Expect irony. laughter, wit, melancholy, theatricality, dramatic presentations acerbic lyrics and catchy tunes from the club that never closes. Patrick has a long standing relationship with the Unity and is known for the music-led productions he has staged there and toured both nationally and internationally.
Line up includes local artist Lo Five, alongside Jo Johnson, Loula Yorke, Pulselovers, Field Lines Cartographer, James Adrian Brown, and Stone Anthem, as well as a Castles in Space DJ set.

WYRM in association with QUARRY is pleased to present a performance from legendary Japanese snare drum artist RYOSUKE KIYASU. This performance will take place at Metal, located at Edge Hill Station, Liverpool.
Ryosuke Kiyasu has been active as a snare drum soloist since 2003 and is also known as a drummer in “SETE STAR SEPT”, “Kiyasu Orchestra”, Mr. Keiji Haino’s band “Fushitsusha”. He is also known as a founding member of The Endless Blockade in Canada.
His solo performances have been featured on BBC News (UK national broadcaster) and VICE Magazine, His performance in Berlin in 2018 was a big hit on social media with over 23 million views.
In 2022-2023, the world’s largest classical percussion festival “Überschlag Festival”, “Dr. Martens Fest 23”, “Outsider Art Festival” in Finland, and “Alternativa Festival” in the Czech Republic. He continues to travel around the world and perform in various places.
In 2023, at the Edinburgh Art Festival in England, a short movie of his snare drum performance by a British director was shown as an exhibition and became a topic of conversation.
He also released a collaborative work with the Swedish apparel brand “Our Legacy”. He has released more than 200 albums, both solo and with his band.

CHRIS HERSTAD CARNEY is a DJ, radio presenter, event & festival manager, educator and general creative brain from Liverpool. In his DJ career as a solo performer and with renowned collective Mixnots, Chris has played Glastonbury, Creamfields, Isle of Wight, Sound City, Kendal Calling, Standon Calling & Lake of Stars Malawi. Chris co-founded Threshold Festival of Music & Arts which ran for 11 years in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle district
