The Belgrave House Band will perform their interpretation and celebrate the 50th anniversary of David Bowie’s seminal album, Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.

Featuring Leeds/London’s finest Art Rock God, ‘Joshua Zero’ up front as lead singer. They’ll be backed up by the ever-astounding selection of exuberant, dynamic and highly skilled musicians from Leeds’ burgeoning Jazz and Soul scene from bands such as Têtes de Pois, Mamilah and Skwid Ink to name a few. For the first time ever The Belgrave House Band are working with a live string section to bring Ziggy’s orchestral flavours to life.

Moulettes Acoustic

Stretching the boundaries of expectation as they move between cellos, classical and steel string guitars, viola, piano, violin, harp, percussion and harmony vocals, be prepared to question all you think you know about the traditional chamber ensemble.

This is eclectic music for indie, experimental, folk and classical lovers alike; a delicious interplay of dramatic orchestration, big riffs, string baths and kaleidoscopic lushness.

Through this daring ensemble, Moulettes explore the resonant beauty of these acoustic
instruments with ambition, ingenuity and poise. Choosing to play in-the-round wherever

that makes ensemble playing so magical to witness.

Bad Manners

Fronted by Buster Bloodvessel (aka Douglas Trendle), Bad Manners are the best in British ska, known for their crazy antics and 2 tone tracks.

Outrageous and enigmatic, they skanked their way into the world’s hearts with hit singles including “Lip Up Fatty”, “Special Brew”, “”Ne-Ne-Na-Na-Na-Na-Nu-Nu” and their cover of “My Girl Lollipop”.

The Charlatans

One of the UK’s most enduring and best-loved bands; The Charlatans have been an inspirational force in British music for more than 30 year, notching up 13 Top 40 studio albums – three of them Number 1’s – alongside 22 Top 40 singles, four of them Top 10 hits. More recently The Charlatans released a career spanning vinyl box collection A Head Full Of Ideas.

The band – Tim Burgess, Mark Collins, Martin Blunt and Tony Rogers – remain one of the most brilliant live acts around, a finely honed musical powerhouse the world adores. Convenience Gallery is collaborating with Sugarshack Sound System to explore the history of underground soundsystem culture, jump up parties and illegal raves with a focus on Birkenhead’s history.

Sugarshack will be bringing the full sound system and crew for a one night only basement party exploring the sonic history of: Dub, Jungle, drum and bass, breakbeat and early house with historical figures from the scene soundtracking the night.

Join them for a one night only, audio visual and sonic adventure through the history of dance, covering a mix of genres from with a massive sound system in a truly unique underground venue.

Flyte

Flyte is the project of English songwriters Will Taylor and Nick Hill. The pair met at secondary school and take their name from Sebastian Flyte of Evelyn Waugh’s Brideshead Revisited.

After the release of two critically acclaimed albums, 2017’s The Loved Ones and 2021’s This Is Really Going To Hurt, they are back with new music. The upcoming album is their most confident and collaborative work to date, featuring artists such as Laura Marling, Bombay Bicycle Club and M Field.

Crosstown Studios, a leading Liverpool recording studio, is thrilled to announce a special 15th-anniversary celebration.

The milestone event will be an unforgettable evening of music, nostalgia and community, as the studio commemorates a decade and a half of creative excellence. The much-anticipated happening takes place August 12th 2023 at EBGBS, located in the heart of Liverpool.

“We are thrilled to celebrate 15 years of Crosstown Studios,” says Crosstown owner and producer Jon Lawton. “The milestone is testament to the incredible talent and passion that our artists bring to their work and we are honoured to have been a part of those journeys.”

Crosstown Studios has been at the forefront of Liverpool’s music scene since its establishment in 2008. The studio has played an instrumental role in shaping the sound and success of numerous talented artists and bands over the years.

To pay tribute to this remarkable journey, a lineup of exceptional musical acts who have recorded at Crosstown Studios will take to the stage to deliver captivating performances throughout the night.

Featured artists include Mr Ted, Visions of Albion, RUINS, Dorothy Bird, The Family Wash, Marc V, and Joseph Roberts. These popular acts represent a diverse range of musical genres, showcasing the studio’s commitment to supporting and nurturing talent across different styles and backgrounds. The event will be a remarkable gathering of artists, music enthusiasts and industry professionals alike.
