Mahler’s Fifth Symphony

At the beginning of his Fifth Symphony, Gustav Mahler stands alone in a world of tragedy. A trumpet sounds in the darkness; the start of a journey through terror, triumph and (of course) the heart-rending Adagietto – Mahler’s musical love-letter to his young wife.

It’s an emotional return for Vasily Petrenko, in music that’s close to his heart. But first, hear the Choir in a brand new work by Grace-Evangeline Mason, based on Mahler’s love letters to his wife.

Dance For Plants

Dance for Plants are back with another day party – venturing across to the glorious Left Bank (i.e. Birkenhead) for the first time. They are partnering up with Bloom Building to bring 7 hours of uninterrupted jams from all around the world on what is set to be an unmissable bank holiday Sunday extravaganza!

For every ticket sold, they will be planting one tree in Scotland through the Future Forest Company, and the remaining proceeds will be put to good use by Cheshire Wildlife Trust, supporting nature in our own neck of the woods (so to speak).

They are so so excited to announce additionally that they will be supported by the wonderful Desert Island Dumplings for this event – they will be selling their fantastically tasty plant-based dumplings.

False Heads

False Heads take the Future Yard stage on 5th April as part of their nationwide tour. Think QOTSA and The Pixies with some Ramones thrown in for good measure and you might land on the the east London-based three-piece.

They released their sonically huge debut LP It’s All There But You’re Dreaming last year, a real culmination of over 4 years of hard work from the post-punk trio, the 12 tracks delving deep into the world of gnarly, outspoken, real-talk, riff-heavy rock music delivered with maximum authenticity and passion.

Starcoast with Lunar Vertigo + Thunder...

Liverpool! Come out for a night of psychedelic rock n roll.

This is the ninth night of Starcoasts U.K. and Ireland Tour, their showcasing of all the newest sounds from them, the ‘We Three’ EP and more fresh ones too! Joined by Liverpool’s Lunar Vertigo and Thunder and the Giants at District, this one will be a smash!

A late-night meteor shower on the beach of their hometown brought Starcoast together. The sounds drove brothers Tom and Jim to blend with their third and drummer, David. From touring in an RV across the Mojave Desert in 50 degrees Celsius, rain and wind-soaked bear attacks, to living together in a brand-new city during this pandemic Starcoast isn’t just a band, they are a family.
