MUSIC MAKES TIME-TRAVELLERS OF US ALL.
It connects us to the past, to the land, to ancestors and to forgotten songs. Long before we ever knew we were listening, our mothers, fathers, carers comforted us through song. In the beginning, music is family.
South African cellist and composer Abel Selaocoe is a sensation. His work has a way of cutting through what we think and tapping directly into how we feel. Backed by the beat of African percussion, in this brand-new show Abel is joined by Manchester Collective to present a musical journey that spans continents and generations, past and future.
Featuring stories and original compositions by Abel, alongside masterpieces by Jean-Philippe Rameau, Igor Stravinsky and Mica Levi, The Oracle is ultimately a show about connection. Itâs music at its most joyful and life-affirming.

Mosh Tots is Future Yard’s brand new series of gigs for kids (and well behaved parents!), here to introduce kids to the rockinâ world of live music in a safe and fun environment.
Future Yard believe that live music should be for everyone, no matter your age. For too long live music venues have been off limits for young children (not to mention their parents); Mosh Tots is going to flip that on its head and is an opportunity to share the joy of live music together as a family.
Each week at Mosh Tots they focus on a different theme or musical idea. That may be melody, rhythm, dynamics or harmony. It could be an exploration of the drums, bass, guitar effects or special instruments. They even have plans for super special guests! Theyâll be learning and experiencing something new every week, so no two Mosh Tots performances are exactly the same.
Future Yard invite you to come join the super-shredding Mosh Tots House Band LIVE for a fun-filled party on a Sunday morning. Expect a heady mix of pop bangers, Disney classics and rock anthems. Think Princess Polly meets Daft Punk with a rock ânâ roll dollop of Meghan Trainorâs bass thrown in for good measure!
Expect hands in the air singalongs and full-on rock-outs. Pogo-ing with glowsticks and in ear defenders has never been this much fun! With an interstellar light show to boot, Mosh Tots will have the production well and truly turned up to 11 (though theyâll keep the volume down of course; youâve got to be kind on those young ears).
Mosh Tots is a high octane live show, here to kick start a love of live music that will last a lifetime.

Wille and the Bandits return to the Music Room following the release of their forthcoming highly-anticipated album, When the World Stood Still. The album documents a moment in time that the whole world will never forget, a time where each person on the planet has felt repercussions in one way or another.
The band have been praised by critics for being one of the most dynamic bands around the globe, as they move from riff-tastic rock and roll to more acoustic sensibilities that only few bands manage. The use of string arrangements, oscillating delays and soaring lap steel guitar solos give the band an emotive edge mixed with a groove and vocal phrasings that leaves audiences in pieces.
Combining four talented and committed musicians who come from very different musical backgrounds, the band have played festivals across the world, from Broadway to the West End, and Belgrade to Sydney. They were picked to perform at the London Olympics after being voted one of UKâs best live acts and also listed in the top 10 ‘Must See Bands’ at Glastonbury 2014 by BBC Radio 1.
Here’s to 2022, the year where things return to something even better than normal… might even be a great one with the first shows of the year from Liverpool’s independent music scene, putting on a night of New Wave, Indie Rock and Post Punk at The Jacaranda Club.
Pleasure Island come to you via Liverpool’s eclectic Smithdown Road scene, having made their own mark on 2021, with their followup single “Priory”. Making the most of the ability to move freely outdoors, the two piece art rockers have capitalised on the track’s success with a string of packed out shows and stellar support slots up and down the UK.
Hemming from North Liverpool, Austerity Dogs are to spoken word an abrasive force to be reckoned. Angry yet humorous, the mix of Lachlan’s producing and Jono’s poems will leave you wanting more, angrier or otherwise.
