Winner of “Best Comedic Performer” and “Best Original show’’ at Liverpool Fringe 2024, Molly Farquhar is making her Edinburgh Fringe debut with her solo show, Hairy B*stard, this summer – but before she heads up north, she’s previewing the show for ONE NIGHT ONLY here at the Studio Beyond!
Meet Magenta. She’s a 20-something icon, who lives in her pink filled world. She’s confident, creative, and also incredibly hairy – particularly on her face. Today she’s going out on a date- perhaps he’ll be the love of her life!! OR…perhaps he’ll just stare at her moustache. But hey, at least she’ll get a free dinner out of it and a story to tell her therapist (her dog) about. Its time to pop a pill (birth control), wax ya eyebrows and throw on a primarni special dress, because tonight – this hairy bastard is hitting the town.
This is a semi autobiographical play, all centered around the writers struggle with Hirsutism and PCOS. With lots of interactive and comedic moments, this one woman show will leave the audience questioning what it truly means to be ‘normal’.
This Play is heading to Edinburgh Fringe this summer, and Molly is the recipient of Ed Fringe’s ”Keep it Fringe Fund” 2025.

It’s 1939, you, and a carefully selected few have been invited to Hope Manor by the infamous self-exiled millionaire Lieutenant Wilson for an afternoon of intrigue, revelations and mystery. Among the hand picked guests and their notorious reputations is the mystery writer and amateur detective Carter. Invited by a long lost cousin who suspects that not everything is as it seems.
And when one of the guests winds up dead, the detective is thrust into a sinister world of betrayal and family secrets. And as the afternoon unfolds so will the clues into why they have all been invited. Join us on this mystery of love, jealously, betrayal and dug up history.

Ever fancied yourself as an Agatha Christie? A Sherlock Holmes maybe? Do you love crime solving? After their sell out 2024 debut, the writers of ‘Murder At Hope Manor’ bring you THREE Brand New DBY Interactive’s Murder at Afternoon Tea!
The Matinee Murder : An Afternoon Tea Murder Mystery Join Carter, a hopeful writer and amateur detective who has been invited to shadow a renowned theatre genius as they breathe life back into an abandoned theatre said to be haunted.
And what a story to tell, not only is the revived script rumoured to be a curse for any actor who dares to perform it, there has also been scandal surrounding the cast and crew. So when a body is discovered it’s hard to know who is telling the truth. The suspects are under the spotlight and you must decide who is innocent and who is giving a performance of a lifetime. Take your seats for an afternoon of plot twists, false accusations, hidden pasts and betrayal.
Just a heads-up… this is an interactive show, so during the performance, you’ll be invited to join in and immerse yourself in solving the murder.
