Renowned American parapsychologist Doctor Roy Earle, famous for discrediting hauntings and exposing fake mediums, is invited to attend a seance in what is said to be the most haunted building in England, a building with a horrific history, Blaine Manor. Even the locals won’t set foot there, as all who walk within those grounds will be cursed.
But his arrival at the manor has awoken something, something horrific within the walls. As a raging storm closes off Blaine Manor from the outside world, Earle and the others find that what is waiting there is not nearly as horrific as what has entered with him…

Home is where our story begins. It’s not always a place – it’s a condition, a feeling, a sense of connection. It shapes who we are. Hold Tight explores how adverse childhood experience, abrupt change and separation impact on young people’s lives.
With four adults and three young people on stage, accompanied by testimonies from care-experienced teenagers in the UK and folk songs recorded with Ukrainian refugees in Poland, VDT’s production reflects on home, family and belonging and how, when we long for intimacy and connection, sometimes we just have to Hold Tight.

Witch Hunt asks who really holds the power in a world where the witches have become the hunters and the predators are now the prey?
Following their sell-out, award-winning show Enter The Dragons, A&E Comedy return with a spell-binding, surreal and darkly hilarious tale.
Witch Hunt weaves a cautionary fairy tale for our time. It celebrates the wisdom of the witch, unpacks the notion of predator and conjures a world of coven-ready weird sisters.
Using buffoon, puppetry and magic and armed with a ‘wiccan’ sense of humour, A&E Comedy ask “Can we use witchcraft to take down the Patriarchy?” Yes we can!

The final act, a trilogy of human tales based on Shakespeare’s most modern comedy, Twelfth Night.
For the past five years, award winning local writer, John Knowles has been quietly obsessing over Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, a play which ends with ‘not one workable long-term relationship’. Out of this has come two plays to date: ‘Toby Belch is Unwell’ and ‘Fiction Romance’ which explore the post play lives of Toby and Antonio.
Now John is embarking on the final part of the trilogy ‘The Devil’s Doorbell’ which sees Viola exploring issues around coercion, sexual idenity and female self empowerment. With this final act John will have completed his Trilogy and will be merging the three into one full evening, woven together with music (including an original sea Shanty by Bob Tipler which tells the tale of Twelfth Night).

Ebeneezer Scrooge is mean, no doubt about that.
But, as Christmas approaches he’s going to get the fright of his life. Three mysterious Christmas visitors make him see that there is more to life than counting his pennies. What follows is an important tale of friendship, compassion and humanity.
This Christmas, we’ll recreate the show with a distinctly Knowsley feel. The result will be a slightly bonkers, fast and furious retelling of the original text with a host of musical instruments, some familiar local references and a sprinkling of pantomime fun.
Disney’s The Muppet Christmas Carol will be presented live in concert this winter, with its musical score performed live to the film.
The Muppet Christmas Carol sees The Muppets perform the classic Charles Dickens holiday tale, with Kermit the Frog playing Bob Cratchit, the put-upon clerk of stingy Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine). Gonzo, as Dickens, narrates the story with the help of Rizzo the Rat. The film also features Miss Piggy as Emily Cratchit, Fozzie Bear as Fozziwig, and Robin the Frog as Tiny Tim.
Scrooge receives visits from spirits of three Christmases – past, present and future. They show him the error of his self-serving ways, but the miserable old man seems to be past any hope of redemption and happiness.
The original score was composed by Miles Goodman (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Little Shop of Horrors) with songs by Oscar®, Emmy® and Grammy®-winning songwriter Paul Williams (Rainbow Connection, Evergreen).
