Yoga for Everyone

A 1 hour Vinyasa style class, suitable for all, including complete beginners. Linking breath and movement, the aim is to find balance between the working body and the working mind.

A grounded, well rounded practice to wake the mind, the body and the senses. Feel invigorated and grounded, ready to float into the weekend.

The workshop is held in the Everyman Theatre Bar, 21 January, 10:30-11:30am

Actor as Facilitator Workshop

There are many opportunities for actors to use their skills in a range of different contexts from youth projects, theatre in education to working in schools delivering workshops.

Emma Bramley has over 25 years experience working as a freelance Drama for Learning Practitioner in a wide range of contexts and is an approved trainer in Mantle of the Expert. All Things Considered use these techniques in the participatory phases of creating their socially engaged work.

This workshop is for those actors who would like to explore, develop and hone their facilitation skills to create immersive, challenging and creative spaces for participants. They will be using an educational/drama for learning focus for the workshop however the skills, techniques and models are transferable to a wide range of settings.

The workshop will explore:

•    Hooking participants in
•    Meaningful questioning
•    Structuring and using drama based techniques to explore themes
•    Facilitating and working in participatory creative spaces

Craft and create: Boodles

Spend time getting creative and making memories together this half term in our fun family workshop.

Lady Lever Art Gallery’s skilled team will help you make something sparkly to take home inspired by the dazzling jewellery and silverware displayed in their exhibition Pure Brilliance: The Boodles Story.

Please note that their creative family sessions are very popular and operate on a ‘drop in’ basis so you may be asked to come back later on in the afternoon at busy times, but there’s lots to see in the rest of the gallery while you are waiting.

Edwardian extravagance

Discover how wealthy women dressed between 1901 and 1911, with Pauline Rushton, National Museums Liverpool’s Head of Decorative Arts.

Using depictions of costume in art, Pauline will reveal stories of a fashionable Edwardian lady’s wardrobe, including court dresses like the one once worn by Lady Lever.

Tiddlers: Seaside Explorers
