This September, A Lovely Word is back at its spiritual and literal home; downstairs at the Everyman.
The event is free and held Everyman Theatre, 2 September, 8pm.
A Lovely Word is Liverpool’s most eclectic poetry night, featuring two halves of open mic poets, and a headliner beginning the first half. Hosted by Alex Ferguson and Lyndsay Price, this free event is a fun, relaxed and friendly evening of performance poetry.
They are kicking things off with headliner Dominic Berry. Dominic was 2017 Glastonbury Festival Poet in Residence, winner of the 2020 and 2017 Saboteur ‘Best Spoken Word Artist’ award, and has toured his verse across USA, Canada, India, New Zealand, Australia, South America and Europe.
Dominic has performed his poetry on BBC2 showcasing the best of Glastonbury Festival, BBC’s Greg and Celia’s Festivals Highlights, Channel 4’s My Daughter The Teenage Nudist and CBeebies Rhyme Rocket.
