This workshop will provide a gentle introduction to Chinese painting using traditional and authentic Chinese art materials such as bamboo brushes, mineral paints and chinese ink.
We will introduce the materials to you via an initial demonstration which will also teach you some basic brushwork and painting techniques. After that, using Bamboo-brushes and rice paper you will paint for yourself! The workshop will be broken down into multiple session that each begin with a teacher demonstration she will then be at hand to provide continued guidance. Each session will teach you a different style which will help you build up to your final piece which will be painted onto a Rice paper board or Rice paper fan.
Our teacher Ula Fung has more than 15 years of teaching experience and is a local practicing artist. She studied her art degree and then Masters back home in Hong Kong.
