Special Pop-up cafe, charity day and signal box open
As part of the Wirral History & Heritage Association Week our usual twice-monthly pop up cafe is supporting our second charity funds going to Wirral St John's Hospice. We have the singal box open (accessed via steps), music by Western Approaches and Mersey Morris performing.
Hadlow Road Station is a Grade II listed Heritage England station with a historic museum which has been restored to look as it did when the station closed in 1956, looked after by Friends of Hadlow Road Station (FHRS). The line is now part of the Wirral Way.
FHRS run pop-up cafes on the platform twice a month, Sunday mornings 10am to 1pm, cash only serving bacon baps, tacakes, tea, coffee and cakes., All funds raise are put back into the station's maintenance, restoration and development.
