Join Katumba for a special Global Majority edition of Katumba Rhythm, Breath & Movement, an uplifting and grounding journey through breath, embodied movement, rhythm and collective drumming.
Building on our Rhythm, Breath & Movement sessions, this special workshop takes the journey one step further...
?️ Breathe
?? Move
?? Connect
? Drum
We’ll begin by slowing down and reconnecting with ourselves through breath, mindful movement and embodied practices, before gradually building the energy through rhythm, connection and play.
And this time, we’ll take that journey all the way to the drums!
Unlike our regular Rhythm, Breath & Movement sessions, which are not drumming workshops, this special event will include a collective drumming experience, bringing everything we’ve explored through breath, body and rhythm together in a joyful, powerful shared groove.
Rooted in Katumba’s Afro-Brazilian practice and our approach to rhythm, movement and wellbeing, this is an opportunity to reconnect with your body, release, have fun and experience the incredible energy of making rhythm together.
No drumming, dance or movement experience is needed. Everything will be guided and accessible, and you’re invited to take part in a way that feels right for your body.
This special session has been created for people from Global Majority communities, offering a space to connect, move, breathe, make some noise and experience the joy of collective rhythm.
This workshop is fully funded by The Culture Network LCR CIC, making it FREE for participants to attend.
Come as you are. Leave feeling grounded, energised and connected.
