In this workshop you will learn to knit a coaster with recycled t-shirt yarn.
Cathy will teach you how to knit, cast on and cast off. The workshop is suitable for beginners, but if you already know the basics, you will be shown how to knit a small storage pot using circular needles and recycled t-shirt yarn.
A complimentary lunch will be provided after the session for all attendees, plus snacks and drinks throughout. Please let us know of any dietary requirements when registering.
Cathy learned to sew and knit as a child, but it was inheriting her grandma’s button collection that rekindled her passion. With a background in community work, she founded Threads, an informal crafting group. Cathy now hosts monthly knitting sessions, eager to share her skills with fellow crafters.
