The Liverpool Music Icons Tours is a brand new and unique experience that offers fans a chance to immerse themselves into the music scene from the 1980s / 1990s with someone who was at the beating heart of it. The experience will be led by one of the following music icons:

  • Pete Hooton – lead singer of The Farm
  • Keith Mullin – lead guitarist of The Farm
  • Brian ‘Nasher’ Nash – lead guitarist with Frankie Goes to Hollywood

One of these artists will lead your tour and give you their own personal curated story as they take you around central Liverpool.

Discover little-known places not normally visited on the tourist trail and hear stories not available anywhere else.

Starting at LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts) your music icon will lead your group on a personal 2-hour walk around Liverpool giving you not only his own personal story and rise to stardom but also sharing many anecdotes about what really happened during that vibrant period of music history.

You will see gig venues, recording studios, pubs, hangouts, and more on this easy slow-paced walk. Limited to a max of 12 people you will have the full attention of your music icon and get a fascinating insight into the world he experienced over several decades.

You will also get to see the biggest studio complex outside London and the first UK Superclub that changed the face of dance music in the UK. You’ll also see the location of Probe Records home of the second wave of Liverpool groups in the 1970s/1980s and take a visit to the Ministry Rehearsal Rooms where Echo and The Bunnymen, Teardrop Explodes, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, The Farm, Wah Heat, Black, Flock of Seagulls. The tour will conclude with a personal chat with your musical icons over a complimentary drink at an iconic pub in central Liverpool. Here you will have a chance to relax, ask questions, get pictures or memorabilia signed, and take selfies before taking the groovy train home.
