After last year’s sell-out event, Crosby Symphony Orchestra returns to put on a Spanish feast of classical music.
Centre-stage is the ever-popular guitar concerto by Rodrigo performed by Craig Ogden, acclaimed as “one of the most exciting artists of his generation”. Anyone with even a passing interest in ice dance, the Olympics and Torvill & Dean will want to hear Bolero with its spell-binding melody and snare drum rhythm.
Add in a Spanish zarzuela, a ballet suite, an orchestral suite, and even a Mexican conga to finish, and prepare to be swept away in a riot of musical colour, directed by their very own Spanish conductor, Juan Ortuño.
