Forming part of the event programme for You Get a Car [Everybody gets a Car]: RESOLVE Collective, Tate Liverpool will present a music and dance performance by Pagoda Arts Chinese Youth Orchestra.
Pagoda Arts are one of the community arts organisations showcased in the current RESOLVE Collective exhibition and this performance gives visitors the chance to encounter more of their work with a performance by 35 young musicians and 10 dancers.
Pagoda Arts is a charity that develops and provides activities and performances of Chinese Culture and Arts in Liverpool. It also provides professional development and a community space for the Chinese community to meet and pursue shared interests. It is an important space for the young people in the community in particular and home to the first and largest Chinese youth orchestra in Europe.
Pagoda Arts were honoured at the Global Chinese Spring Festival Gala 2024 in Beijing. Pagoda was awarded 3 honours including Pagoda Arts CEO, Zi Lan Liao, has been honoured with the award of Chinese Role Model – 2023 – Outstanding Female and Pagoda Arts musician, Tian Qiyi, was also honoured with the Chinese Role Model – 2023 Arts Achievement.
