Here’s to 2022, the year where things return to something even better than normal… might even be a great one with the first shows of the year from Liverpool’s independent music scene, putting on a night of New Wave, Indie Rock and Post Punk at The Jacaranda Club.

Pleasure Island come to you via Liverpool’s eclectic Smithdown Road scene, having made their own mark on 2021, with their followup single “Priory”. The song has turned heads across radio land, earning coveted spins from Jim Gelatly (Amazing Radio) and a top 5 pick from Fresh on The Net’s Tom Robinson (BBC Radio 6). Making the most of the ability to move freely outdoors, the two piece art rockers have capitalised on the track’s success with a string of packed out shows and stellar support slots up and down the UK.

Hemming from North Liverpool, Austerity Dogs are to spoken word an abrasive force to be reckoned. Angry yet humorous, the mix of Lachlan’s producing and Jono’s poems will leave you wanting more, angrier or otherwise.

Table 51 are three friends who formed in 2020, bonding over a love of US punk bands The Lillingtons, Screeching Weasel, The Queers and The Ramones. After honing their writing throughout the lockdowns, the band have made the most of their ability to leave their flats, with a string of live shows making waves across the fine city of Liverpool.
