They are opening the doors of the Storybarn especially for families with autistic children under the age of 9yo, and families with sensory conditions so they can come and enjoy their wonderful imaginative play space in a stress free environment.
A Storyhunter will be on hand to help you if you need it; but they will not be running activities or group story sharing.
They will have a relaxed attitude to noise and movement, and give families a chance to explore the space at their own pace and in their own way.
They have also reduced the capacity for this event, so it will not be as busy as most of their other public sessions.
Children with additional needs are always welcome to join in at any of their events, and they will always do what they can to support you, but they also know that sometimes what you really need is the freedom to just do it your own way!
