Join writer and performer Helen Jeffery for 2 days of fun drama workshops for children aged 7-12.
The chance to explore some of Shakespeare’s best loved characters in the beautiful outdoor setting of the walled garden. There will be a sharing of work to parents/carers at the end of the second day.
An interactive family friendly show using words, puppetry, and physical theatre, in a celebration of hope and dreaming the impossible!

They will embark on an adventurous journey together where we will explore life under the ocean and above the clouds through simple storytelling, live music and play.
This is a 45 minute session for little ones and their grown ups to move their bodies, discover exciting stories and make a little something to take away.

Theatre in the Rough is delighted to be supporting this event from Emily. It’s part of a project called Leadership Lab, where four young creatives from Liverpool have been devising their own artistic projects through a scheme of workshops and support.
Summer has arrived in the Little Liverpool gallery at the Museum of Liverpool! Join them to explore their Little Liverpool gallery with added summer crafts, activities and fun.
Little Liverpool Summer Specials take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings at 11.15am and on Friday and Sunday afternoons at 2.15pm from 30 July until 31 August 2024.
Little Liverpool Special sessions have a limited number of tickets available at £2 per child. Tickets are available online and in venue.
Join the team every Saturday morning for their rhyme time for little ones, with stories, songs and toys for the family to enjoy.
Rhymetime is best suited for pre-schoolers aged 0-4 years, although older siblings are welcome to attend too. The session will begin with the opportunity to join in with rhymes, songs and listen to stories led by their Learning and Participation team, followed by free play.
This is a free activity that takes place weekly at 11:15am in their Big Art gallery. Tickets can be collected at the front desk on the day, so no pre-booking is required.
Get hunting with for bugs and beasties and discover the incredible world that grows all around us.
Experts from World Museum will lead a special summer bug safari. Use their special spotter’s guide trail to hunt out your own incredible insects or join their experts for a Bug Hunt session.
Please be aware that these events will take place outside. They recommend that you wear sensible clothes and footwear for exploring outside spaces. Children must be supervised at all times.

Detector dogs have been helping to safeguard our ports and airports for many years. Each dog works with a handler from Border Force to detect hidden objects including drugs, weapons and other smuggled goods.
Throughout August, the Museum is hosting special visits from these highly skilled dogs with a unique chance to see them in action and find out more.
Demonstrations will take place every 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd August. Sessions will take place each day at 12 noon, 1pm and 2pm.
Sessions are drop-in, no booking required, and will take place in the 4th floor Lecture Theatre at the Maritime Museum. All welcome!
