Join the team every Saturday morning for our rhyme time for little ones, with stories, songs and toys for the family to enjoy.
Rhymetime is best suited for pre-schoolers aged 0-4 years, although older siblings are welcome to attend too. The session will begin with the opportunity to join in with rhymes, songs and listen to stories led by our Learning and Participation team, followed by free play.
This is a free activity that takes place weekly at 11:15am in their Big Art gallery. Tickets can be collected at the front desk on the day, so no prebooking is required.

Get creative with this art activity especially designed for their youngest visitors, and then explore Little Liverpool gallery. Sail boats, fish in their mini ‘river’, then explore their alphabet wall before dancing with the Beetles.
Little Liverpool special sessions have a limited number of tickets available so they recommend that you book in advance. Tickets cost £2 per child with a maximum of two accompanying adults and can be booked above.
Scribble and splash takes place on Friday afternoons at 2.15pm and Saturday mornings at 11.15am.
Splatter and stick offers an inclusive environment with the aim to develop a child’s self confidence, natural exploration skills, hand eye co-ordination and manual dexterity, through the exploration of arts and crafts with sensory play.
They aim to create a fun and creative environment that supports families with children who may need additional support.
Tickets cost £2 per child and booking in advance is essential. Tickets will be released 2 weeks before the session each month and can be booked below.

Baby Book Club is a is a great way to spend quality time with your baby, meet new friends, and develop your baby’s love of books through innovative storytelling techniques that will last a lifetime.
Facilitated by artist Roger Hill, each session includes discussion and sharing time, book recommendations and reviews, individual and group reading, and fun activities linked to the weekly core story.
Hot drinks are provided at each session.

Book onto this family friendly Collagraph Creatures print workshop, taking place in January 2024.
Inspired by the current exhibition, A New Kind of Animal by Tim Spooner, budding artists will have the opportunity to make their very own Tim Spooner-esque creature using a printing technique called Collagraphy.
Collagraphy uses a mix of materials with different textures to make unique and different shapes. The materials are then inked and printed onto paper using a printing press technique, which will be taught by their print experts on the day.

Inspired by the works of Uma Breakdown and Jenkin van Zyl, their family-friendly workshops investigate the genres of horror and fantasy, and ask you to consider what we need to create spaces of care and support.
They will be exploring game design, creative writing, virtual reality and more.
This season, workshops will be held in a whole new location! Join them in Studio/Lab, a new space for artists to experiment located on the building’s top floor.

Wonder no more! Why not book onto this 20 minute guided tour with one of our knowledgeable aquarium team members.
You’ll be taken into back of house facilities to see how they look after the animals in our care.
Each tour will have a maximum of 10 visitors and is for years 6+ they also ask for a minimum ratio of 3 children to 1 adult.
