Sophie McCartney

Join award-winning comedian Sophie McCartney as she ventures into the perilous world of parenthood in this rollicking new stand-up show.

Sophie thought by the time she became a ‘proper’ grown up (someone who likes olives) life would all be figured out. How very wrong she was. Feeling like an out-of-depth-teen trapped in the slightly sagging skin suit of a 30-something mum-of-three, why did no one tell her what to really expect after she was expecting? Why do you need a degree in collapsing travel cots? And does she have what it takes to stop her current cereal eaters from becoming future serial killers?

Sophie is a comedy writer and performer from Liverpool. Her debut book Tired and Tested: The Wild Ride into Parenthood topped the Sunday Times’ bestseller list. She’s dubbed as Instagram’s funniest mum by Mother & Baby, won a prestigious Funny Women award, has racked up more than 250 million views on her social media channels, and is about to launch her debut fiction comedy novel Mother Hens.

Stephen K Amos – Oxymoron

Luverly! Stephen K Amos is back with a brand new show, after treading the boards of London’s West End in the smash hit musical My Fair Lady, playing the iconic role of Alfred P. Doolittle.

What a mad couple of years it’s been! How did you get through it all? Stephen’s solution… find the funny. The opportunity in the crisis, the joy in the sadness, the wisdom of fools, after all comedy equals tragedy.

Join him for an hour of solid jokes and guaranteed belly laughs. Fresh from a sell-out tour in Australia and the US and as seen on BBC2’s QI and Pilgrimage: The Road to Rome, ABC TV’s The Project and BBC1’s Live at the Apollo. So what are you waiting for? He’s awfully good!

Omid Djalili

Come and see Omid Djalili work in new material. The legendary festival favourite, stand-up comedian, film and television star guarantees you an evening of experimentation.

‘Right now, the Iranian Djalili is probably one of the most subversive, let alone funniest, comedians around’ (Guardian).

‘To carve yourself out a career as the thinking person’s comedian in this political climate takes a fine brain and a masterful way with the audience. There is no question that Omid Djalili possesses both’ (Sunday Times).

Rob Auton

Award winning writer, comedian and actor Rob Auton has written nine hit Edinburgh Festival Fringe comedy/theatre/spoken-word shows on specific themes including the colour yellow in ‘The Yellow Show’, sleep in ‘The Sleep Show’ and hair in ‘The Hair Show’.

In his most autobiographical show to date ‘The Rob Auton Show’ Rob turns the pen on himself to explore the memories and feelings that create his life on a daily basis.

The Very Best of Tommy Cooper

Produced and performed by Daniel Taylor the show captures one of the UK’s most loved comedians Tommy Cooper and his trademark mayhem fused with misfiring magic.

The show includes many of Cooper’s beloved one-liners, dazzling wordplay, and celebrated tricks, including glass/bottle, dappy duck, spot the dog and jar/spoon.

The Production has the blessing of the Tommy Cooper Estate.

Faulty Towers

When the audience become diners in the ‘Faulty Towers’ restaurant and are served by Basil, Sybil and Manuel, pretty much anything can happen – especially with two-thirds of the show improvised!

Interactive Theatre’s globetrotting show is truly quite legendary, selling out at venues like Edinburgh Fringe, Raffles Singapore and Sydney Opera House. It returns to the Floral Pavilion in 2023, but be warned: it’ll sell out here too, so early booking is essential!

Jen Brister – The Optimist

If Jen Brister has learned anything in the past 18 months, it’s that she’s no good in a crisis. (Unless you count getting into the foetal position in under 30 seconds.)

Has the pandemic changed her for the better or is she the same old pessimistic naysayer she’s always been? I think we all know the answer to that. Let’s just hope she can make it funny.

“Furiously funny”
The Guardian

Comedy Queers

Comedy Queers is a cult show that’s been selling out at the Edinburgh Fringe since 2018.

If you want to enjoy live comedy without wondering if your identity will be the punchline, this is the show for you!

Hosted by award-winning Liverpool comedian Sian Davies (“Compelling and distinctive” The Scotsman) and featuring outstanding queer comics from across the UK, live at Unity Theatre.

Comedy Queers is a fiercely outrageous safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies. We laugh at ourselves and each other, we punch up and we do it with pride.

If you’ve seen enough cis, straight dudes with the same haircut/t-shirt/jokes/toxicity, come and party with the Kings, Queens and Non-Binary Royal Titles of comedy.

Reginald D. Hunter: The Man Who Could ...

In these supercharged socio-political times the challenge is more and more becoming separating what’s true and what’s real.

Lucille Hunter proudly proclaimed “It’s easy to see through shit, the hard part is pretending you haven’t.” Join Reginald D. Hunter for an hour of exploring this phenomena in this progressive work in a pre next-variant world.

As seen on Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You, and 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
