Can you help us follow the trail of missing pages and find the culprit. We will transform into detectives, create our own detective decoder book marks to solve the case and share this special story with you.

The Case of The Cryptic Message: A cryptic message has appeared in The Storybarn but we don’t know who left it or what it says. Can you help us solve this case? Put on your detective hats, we will be sharing stories and making up our own invisible messages.
Join in with a creative project all about Colliers Moss Common, 130 hectares of habitats on the site of the old Bold Colliery and Bold Power Station.
Working together with collaborative art duo Juneau Projects, you’ll help create a guide and activity book that will be available free to local residents. The book will contain information and illustrations about local wildlife, history and things to do on the Moss.
You can take part by making illustrations (no art experience needed!) and by chatting about your experiences and observations on ‘the Moss’.

Explore the Moss
Tuesday 15th August, 11am – 1pm and 2.30pm – 4.30pm, Colliers Moss Common
Walk with the Moss’ ranger to look at the wildlife of the moss. Activities will include photography and drawing. We’ll supply the magnifying glasses and clip-on phone lenses, as well as clipboards and drawing materials.
If it’s too wet for a walk, we’ll meet inside instead for a wildlife talk from the Moss’ ranger, with a painting and drawing activity.
(Meeting point will be shared with attendees ahead of the event)

You’ll hear him read his debut book Pansy Boy, and take part in some drawing workshops, where – whatever your skill level – you’ll create perfectly beautiful drawings inspired by nature. Paul will be on hand to offer guidance, so get your questions ready!
Anyone who takes part is invited to join them on Saturday 16th September for an Avian Amble through Court Hey Park, to share your ‘gently referenced’ bird-inspired creations.
